NEEDS ASSESSmENT
Ophthalmologists must stay at the top o their game constantly
updating their practice by incorporating new evidence-based
therapies, surgical techniques and scientic insights. Results o needs
assessments indicate an educational need or a succinct update on
the latest developments in ophthalmology rom experts in the eld
utilizing didactic instruction, video presentations, panel discussions
and interactive roundtable sessions. This course is designed to change
physician perormance in the areas o age-related macular degeneration
(AMD), glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology and cataract surgery.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
At the end of the program, participants should be able to:
Listtheindicationsforuseoftheimplantableminiaturetelescope
(IMT) in order to select patients appropriate or this technology.
Discussthecurrentscreeningrecommendationsforpatientson
plaquenil therapy in order to prevent visual complications associated
with this medication.
Compareandcontrastthedifferentaqueousshuntsavailablefor
the surgical management o glaucoma in order to maximize surgicaloutcomes.
DiscussnewdevelopmentsinthegeneticsofStargardtsDisease,
coloboma and microphthalmia in order to develop an awareness o
the complex issues associated with these rare conditions.
Discusshowemployersmustadjusttheirmanagementstylefor
employees with dierent personality types in order to oster a
productive work environment.

ENROLLmENTPlease register early space is limited.
Tuition is $495 or physicians and $303 or all others. Conrmation
o registration will be sent within two weeks ater receipt o
enrollment orm. The ees will increase ater March 29.
Tuition includes continental breakasts, rereshment breaks, reception,
electronic syllabus, and an online certicate o attendance. Tuition
