INTRODUCTION

Read this manual carefully before operating your FAST Global Solutions equipment. The information presented will prepare you to safely operate

and service your machine. Require all opera-tors to read this manual carefully and be acquainted with all the operating and adjust-ment procedures before attempting to oper-ate. Failure to follow the information in this manual and on decals may result in personal injury or equipment damage.

This equipment has been engineered and manufactured to provide dependable and sat-isfactory use. Like all mechanical products, it will require cleaning and upkeep. Inspect your equipment before putting it into service. Use only genuine FAST Global Solutions parts for service or repairs.

Throughout this manual, the use of the terms Left, Right, Front, and Rear must be under-stood to avoid confusion. Left and Right indi-cate the left and right sides of the cart when facing the rear hitch of the trailer. See Diagram below.

The most important safety devise on this equipment is a safe operator. It is the opera-tor’s responsibility to read and understand and follow all safety and operating instructions in this manual.

As the operator, you are responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of this equip-ment. You must ensure that you and anyone else who is going to operate, maintain or work around the machine is familiar with the operat-

ing and maintenance procedures and related safety information contained in this manual.

You are the key to safety. Good safety prac-tices protect you and people around you. Be certain that everyone operating this equipment is familiar with the recommended operating and maintenance procedures and follows all safety precautions. Do not risk injury or death by ignoring good safety practices.

General SafetyCarefully read and follow all safety messages in this manual and safety signs (decals) on equipment.

A safety sign may contain more than one haz-ard message and more than one avoidance panel.

Learn how to operate the equipment. Do not let anyone operate the machine without instruction.

Keep the equipment in proper working condi-tion. Unauthorized modifications to the equip-ment may impair the function and/or safety and affect equipment life.

Do not operate this equipment while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Consult your doctor about operating this equipment while taking prescription medications.

If you do not understand any part of this man-ual and need assistance, contact FAST Global Solutions, Inc.

Do not ride on the equipment at any time.

Keep fingers and hands out of pinch points when operating and servicing equipment.

Do not overload this equipment.

Prepare for Emergencies

Keep a fire extinguisher and first aid kit handy. Know how to use them.

Keep emergency numbers for doctors, ambu-lance service, hospital, and fire department near your telephone.

Handle Chemicals SafelyDirect exposure to hazardous chemicals can cause serious injury.

A Safety Data Sheet (SDS) provides specific details on chemical products: physical and health hazards, safety procedures, and emer-gency response techniques.

Read the chemical manufacturers warning, instructions and procedures before starting and follow them exactly.

Potentially hazardous chemicals are used with FAST Global Solutions, Inc. equipment include such items as oil, lubricants, paints, and adhesives.

Check the SDS before you start any job using a hazardous chemical. That way you will know exactly what the risks are and how to do the job safely. Then follow procedures and use recommended equipment.

Maintenance SafetyUnderstand service procedures before starting work.

Keep service area clean and dry.

Never lubricate, service or adjust equipment while it is moving.

Keep hands, feet and clothing from moving parts.

Clear area of bystanders when making adjust-ments, servicing or repairing the equipment.

Use adequate lighting for the job.

Keep all parts in good condition and properly installed. Fix damaged components immedi-ately. Replace worn and broken parts.

Remove any build-up of grease, oil, or debris.

Remove paint and any residue from solvents before welding or heating.

Operation SafetyRead and understand this Operator’s Manual and all safety signs before using.

Before each use inspect the equipment. Check tightness of nuts and bolt.

Keep hands, feet, hair, and clothing away from all moving parts.

Do not allow riders on the equipment.

Keep bystanders away when moving the equipment.

Do not exceed capacity.

OPERATION

Parking Brake

The cart is equipped with a manual towbar actuated parking brake.

• To activate the parking brake, raise the towbar to the vertical position until it latches.

• The brake will engage on front tire.

Read, understand and follow all safety signs on the equipment and in this Opera-tion and Maintenance Manual.

Before moving the tow vehicle / equip-ment, look in all directions and make sure no bystanders are in the work area.

Before transporting be sure the cart has been raised fully.

Do not allow anyone between the tow vehicle and the equipment when backing up to the equipment for connecting.

Keep fingers and hands out of pinch points when connecting and disconnecting equip-ment, open or closing gates.

DO NOT work under suspended or blocked objects.

Do Not allow bystanders in work area while loading.

When towing equipment in trains, avoid extreme sharp turns. Equipment may con-tact each other and cause damage!

Tow vehicle and hitch must have the rated capacity to tow equipment. Use of an unapproved hitch or tow vehicle can result in loss of control, leading to serious injury or death.

Verify that the equipment is securely fas-tened to the tow vehicle before moving the tow vehicle and equipment.

Confirm the parking brake is operating cor-rectly. Faulty parking brake can cause per-sonal injury or death.

DO NOT step on or stand on towbar.

To prevent equipment runaway, confirm the equipment is properly connected to the tow vehicle or forward equipment.

• To release the parking brake, step down on the parking brake latch while pushing in on the towbar lunette.

• When the latch releases lower the towbar.

IMPORTANT: Do Not allow the towbarfree fall.

• The brake will disengage from the tire.

E-Hitch

The rear hitch has the feature of being locked in the up position until the towbar from a second cart is in place.

• Pull up on the hitch ring. • Rotate the handle 90° either direction to

lock the hitch pin open. Position the connecting towbar lunette into the hitch.

• Pull up slightly on the hitch ring. • Rotate the handle 90° either direction and

fully lower the hitch pin.

Control Box

The control box switch allows the cart to be lowered for easy loading and unloading of the jack, tanks, tires and other supplies.

• Move the switch up to raise the deck. • Move the switch down to lower the deck.

DANGER! Keep feet clear of the cartwhen lowering the deck.

IMPORTANT: The tire cart must be fullyraised before transporting.

Jack Compartment

The jack compartment provides a secure place to transport a jack.Load the jack:

• Use the switch on the control box to fully lower the tire cart.

• Pull back the on safety gate latch.• Rotate the latch until the pin engages the

detent on the latch mount to lock open.

• Raise the gate. NOTE: When the gate is fully raised itwill drop down slightly into the holdingframe.

• Clip the safety chain from the frame to the link on the gate to secure.

• Back the jack onto the cart fitting the jack into the jack shoe.

• Unlatch the safety chain from the gate.• Lift up slightly and lower the gate.

NOTE: Do not allow the gate to free fall.• Engage the latch.

•Pull the latch against the spring and turn to unlock.•Slide the latch forward fully. The pin must be inside the hole in the frame.

• Fully raise the cart before transporting.

Tire Compartment

The tire compartment provides a secure place to transport tires. Load or Unload Tires

• Use the switch on the control box to fully lower the tire cart.

DANGER! Keep feet clear of thecart when lowering the deck.

• Remove the chain gate by lifting up on the handle until the bar clears the lower bracket.

• Hang the gate on the gate hooks on the center back rail.

• Roll tires onto cart. • Replace chain gate by sliding the top of

the handle into the upper bracket then fit-ting the lower handle into the bottom bracket.

• Raise the cart before transporting.

Work Light

Work lights are provided on both sides of the tire cart.

Use the switch to turn the work lights on or off.

Tool Storage Box

An onboard tool storage box is provided to keep tools secure.

• Pull the toggle to release it from the hook to open the door.

• When the doors are open they should be secured to the frame.

•Align the latch to the hole in the frame. •Pull up and turn the handle then lower the latch into the hole.

• Close the doors before moving the cart.

•Pull up until the latch clears the hole. •Rotate the latch until the pin engages the detent on the latch mount to lock open.

• Secure the door with the toggles.
