As mentioned on previous E-Jets News article about the

bleed low pressure check valve PN 1001447-6, Embraer

released SB 190-36-0023which requires the replacement

o LPCV PN -6 logging 6,000 FH. It is important thatthis period be observed when LPCV -6 is installed in the

EMBRAER 190 models, regardless the E-Jet model the valve

was originally installed in (170 or 190).

Continuing the examples already given, it is also important

to observe that a LPCV PN -6 that has never been installed

in an EMBRAER 190 model has no FH limitation when

    installed in a 170 model.

In the beginning o 2012, Embraer received some ieldreports o chaing between the crew oxygen tube and theaircraf structure at rame 15 and stringer 21R.

Investigations revealed that this may occur due toinsufficient clearance between the oxygen tube and theaircraf structure.

In order to ensure a correct clearance between the crewoxygen tube and the aircraf structure, Embraer issuedthe service bulletin SB170-53-0100 / SB190-53-0061 in

September 2012 which provides instructions to:

Inspect the oxygen tube surace or any sign ochaing/damage.Replace/install the tube support in order to increasethe gap between the tube and the aircraf structure.

Replace the oxygen tube with a new one i any signo chaing/damage is ound on the tube surace.

Crew Oxygen Tube Service Bulletin Incorporation

Its important to remember that the compliance o

    this bulletin is:

APPLICABLE TO PART IEmbraer recommends the accomplishment o

the SB within the next 600 Flight Hours afer therelease date o the SB.

APPLICABLE TO PART IIEmbraer recommends the accomplishment othe SB within the next 5,000 Flight Hours aferaccomplishment o PART I.

Current incorporation data (July 2013) shows that

the service bulletin was accomplished in only 16%o the affected leet.

Being so, the inclusion o this bulletinaccomplishment in your schedule maintenance isrecommended.

Technical Support (EFTC)[email protected] - Altitude Split

Embraer and UTAS-SIS are jointlyinvestigating the ADS Altitude SpliteventsThe acronym ACMF stands or Aircraf

Condition Monitoring Function. Thisunction works based on inormation

stored in a database which is not part o its

sofware but a separated database ile in a

    dedicated memory partition o CMC.

This database is used by the ACMF sofware

to collect data rom ASCB when the trigger

condition deined on the database occurs.

The database will be stored on the CMC

    module through the normal procedure

    o sofware database loading named

DLS (Data Loader System). The database

loading already has a speciic task in the

    AMM (TASK 45-45-00-470-801-A) that will

be used to load the database.

The database is similar to the one already

installed on the CMC module that collects

trend data or engines. A new database will

not impact on any unctionality already in

use on the Maintenance System as the

ACMF sofware is already running on the

CMC and just new triggers are going to be

    included in the database.

The data can be downloaded without impacting regular maintenance procedures. The

procedure to collect reports rom CMC already exists in the AMM Part II (TASK 45-45-00-970-801-A). The installation time through DLS is about 5 minutes and the download time takesless than one minute per report.

The purpose o the ACMF Altitude Split is

to determine possible improvements in theault isolation logic minimizing maintenanceimpacts and NFF number due to unnecessary

    removals.

In order to determine i the improvements

can be implemented the ield data collectionis the reerence or the investigation.

The ACMF Altitude Split is compatible withLoad 23.2 or higher version and applicable

    only to Pentium M.

The data collection campaign is planned tooccur until Dec/2013 with the possibility tobe extended or a couple o months.

As part o the Instruction or Continued Airworthinessrequirements and the Optimization Project, the MSG-3Working Group met in So Jos dos Campos rom September9th to 12th when many MRBR tasks were discussed, including

the review o the reliability o Basic 1 tasks.

The meeting counted with 44 attendees from around

the world, including 15 operators representatives, 4

regulatory authorities and 25 Embraer staff members

to provide technical support to the meeting.

The Optimization Project has until now completed 25% oSystems, 31% o Structure and 50% o Zonal Basic 1 tasks.Basic 2 tasks optimization will be the scope o the 2014

    meetings.

From November 4th to 8th, 2013, the Working Group willmeet again or the last meeting o 2013, which will include

the ISC meeting to validate the WG analysis perormed in2012 and 2013, on top o the remaining Basic 1 tasks. SomeBasic 1 tasks will be part o the 2014 agenda.

    ATTACHING PARTS LIST

During the removal/installation procedures, somecomponents o the aircraf such as valves and actuatorsrequire attaching parts (o-rings, gaskets, cotter pins, etc...).

I the necessary quantity o these parts is not provided, the

installation o such components can not be perormed.Afer mapping the attaching parts that can impact on a

delay during the aircraf maintenance, the Material SupportEngineering developed a list linking the components withits respective attaching parts according to AMM procedures.

    MAINTENANCE CHECK LIST

The Material Support Engineering also has made availablea reerence list o parts to be used in heavy checks (B1, B2,B3 and B4). This list provides the most accurate inormation

to help Customers prepare or heavy checks and was builtaccording to MPD and Customers eedback that havealready done these checks.

The Fleet Reliability unction is to monitor theaircraf perormance in terms o reliabilityusing as reerence ield operationalindicators and pointing out items that canbe implemented in order to add values tothe Customer and Embraer businesses,

generating appropriate inancial results. In order to reach these goals in the bestpossible way, it is necessary to collect andcompile data rom all Embraer Customersand Operators.

How can we improve the Data Collectionprocess and reduce the lead time toprepare and process these data?

eSight Data Collection PortalEven though the Fleet Reliability Engineeringteam has been working or some time to improvethis process with good results, there is stillroom or improvement. So, the eSight programwas created to integrate the process o DataCollection and treatment, as well as to provide
