2. Portable Charger (IC-CPD) Overview VOLTI Go In-Cable-Control-and-Protection-Device (IC-CPD) Portable Charger consists of the following components:

You can use the wall hanger part to hang your

VOLTI Portable IC-CPD Charger to keep it

safe, out of reach and stationary during

charging.

Wall hanger apparatus can be attached and

detached according to your preference.

5. Instructions for Safety

⚠ DANGER

Electric Shock & Fire Hazards

If the socket used for charging is incorrectly

installed, this can lead to electric shock or fire

when charging the vehicle. Please make sure:

IC-CPD Power Plug is only connected

to Socket that is part of a grounded

power network.

The Socket to which charger is

connected via Power Plug must be

connected to a protected circuit required

by the law and standards of your region.

The Socket must be protected by a

suitable current-operated residual circuit

breaker (RCCB).

The charging is done according to this

manual and also the manual provided

with your vehicle.

If the charging cable is damaged

or faulty or the socket used is

damaged or faulty, or the portable

charging equipment is used

improperly and incompliant with the

precautions mentioned in this

document, it can cause electric shock,

short-circuits, fire, and burns. Please

make sure:

Do NOT use the IC-CPD charger if the

product is damaged or soiled. Before

each use, please check the cables,

connector and the control box for any

damages.

Never use the IC-CPD charger with a

worn-out socket. Make sure the socket

used for charging is firmly seated and it

is in accordance with the law,

regulations and standards.

USING THE IC-CPD CHARGER WITH

IMPROPPER SOCKETS CAN LEAD

TO SRIOUS INJURY OR FIRE!

Under no circumstances IC-CPD

charger shall be opened by the user.

Device is NOT serviceable by any other

party than the ones approved by VOLTI.

Do NOT touch the parts inside the

vehicle connector.

Please makes sure that the voltage

used with the device is in accordance

with the rated voltage of the IC-CPD

charger. Only use the device with the

suitable sockets. See the back of the

device for more information regarding

rated energy requirements and

compliance.

The charger must be plugged to the wall

socket directly. Do NOT use any

extension cords, cables, cable drums,

multiple sockets, travel and other sorts

of adapters, timers etc.

Never perform any repair tasks,

servicing and modification to electrical

components and do NOT open the

device.

Do NOT touch the pins/contacts on the

IC-CPD vehicle connector and vehicle

charging inlet.

Vehicle connector, control box, power

plug and the socket used must be free

of moisture, water, snow, ice and other

liquids. Do NOT immerse the IC-CPD

charger in water.

Do NOT leave the charger plugged to

the socket during a thunderstorm.

Do NOT insert any foreign materials,

objects in to the IC-CPD charger or

vehicle inlet.

Only clean the IC-CPD charger when

the charger is completely disconnected

from the socket (grid) and from the

vehicle inlet. When cleaning, only use

dry cloth.

IC-CPD charger must NOT be operated

by persons under the influence of drugs,

alcohol or medication.

IC-CPD charger must NOT be operated

by persons that are not familiar with the

use of the product or has not read this

manual.

IC-CPD charger must be kept away

from persons with disabilities and

children who may not be able to assess

the hazards involved with operating this

product.

During an unattended charging,

unauthorized persons (e.g. children)

should be prevented from accessing the

IC-CPD charger.

⚠ WARNING Fire, Explosion hazards

To ensure that the vehicle has a valid charging

inlet, please refer to the vehicle manual.

IC-CPD charging components may cause

sparks and ignition of flammable or explosive

vapors.

While charging, makes sure the IC-CPD

charger is located 50 cm above the

ground to reduce the risk of explosions,

especially in garages.

If the ambient is potentially explosive,

do NOT use the IC-CPD charger.

IC-CPD charger is designed to charge

electric vehicles that do NOT require

ventilation while charging.

6. Ways to Prevent Damage Follow these instructions below to prevent your

charger from getting damaged.

Prevent IC-CPD charger from sliding

over sharp edges.

Prevent the cables from bending

sharply.

Do NOT drive over the IC-CPD charger

control box, plug, connector and cables.

Handle with care and do NOT exert

extreme force on the product.

Do NOT use the IC-CPD charger

outside the intended operating

temperature range of the product: -13°F

(-25 °C) to 122 °F (+50 °C)

Operating outside of these temperature

ranges may damage the IC-CPD

charger.

Make sure the IC-CPD charger is used

with the same type of socket outlet and

vehicle inlet.

Only operate the IC-CPD charger as

directly connected to the fixed grid

socket outlet.

Improper use outside of what is

described in this user manual may result

in malfunction of the product and

damage to properties.

This portable IC-CPD charger is an

electric vehicle supply equipment

(EVSE) and is suitable to charge

battery-powered electric vehicles (BEV)

and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles

(PHEV).

VOLTI Portable IC-CPD Charger allows safe

and easy to use charging (mode 2) for the

owners of electric vehicles. The charger allows

direct charging from any suitable socket with

supply voltage of 100V to 230V AC.

7. Charger Features VOLTI IC-CPD Portable Charger is equipped

operation and troubleshooting.

Additional Features

VOLTI IC-CPD Portable Charger allows you to

charge your battery-powered electric vehicle

(BEV) or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV)

by itself, without requiring any additional device.

Out of the box, VOLTI IC-CPD Portable

Charger fits to your regional electric socket

outlet and directly to your electric vehicle

charging inlet. The ergonomic vehicle

connector allows you to easily plug-in to your

electric vehicle. The spiral charging cable

makes it easier to store and reduces the cable

damage especially when the VOLTI IC-CPD

Portable Charger is hanging via the wall

hangers.

VOLTI IC-CPD Portable Charger allows

charging from standard grounded residential

sockets from 100V to 230V AC (50/60Hz) and a

charging current 6A up to 16A depending on

the regional specifications of the unit sold.

8. LED Display LED display on the front of the VOLTI Portable

IC-CPD Charger shows the current state of

your charger. The four LEDs represent the

following:

1- POWER – VOLTI Portable IC-CPD

Charger is plugged in to the grid and is

powered. Your charger is ready to use.

2- CHARGING – Your electric vehicle is

being charged.

3- GROUND FAULT – The grid connection

(power socket outlet) doesn’t have

proper grounding. In this case, please

unplug your charger and use a grid

connection with proper grounding.

Charging will NOT take place.

4- FAULT – Indicates a failure of VOLTI

Portable IC-CPD Charger.

troubleshooting the fault condition,

please see the

Troubleshooting your Charger section of

this manual.

9. Using your Charger To operate your charger safely and properly,

please follow the steps below:

1- Read and understand the manual of

your electric vehicle and VOLTI Portable

IC-CPD Charger before using your

charger.

2- Make sure that the cables are uncoiled

and routed correctly to avoid any

tripping.

3- Insert the power plug into the power

socket directly. (Never use extension

cords, timers, additional wires etc.)

4- When the power is properly connected,

POWER LED will light up.

5- Insert the vehicle connector to the

charging inlet of your vehicle.

6- The charging will start automatically.

CHARGE LED will light up.

7- To stop the charging process, unlock

your vehicle’s charging inlet lock and

remove the vehicle connector from the

vehicle’s charging inlet.

8- When you are done with charging

remove the power plug from the power

socket.

9- Store your VOLTI Portable IC-CPD

Charger safely.

10. Troubleshooting your Charger If the FAULT LED flashes 2 times followed by a

short break:

1- Remove the vehicle connector of your

charger from your electric vehicle’s

charging inlet.

2- Unplug your charger from the power

socket.

3- Wait for 10 seconds.

4- Insert the power plug of your charger

into the power socket.

5- Wait for the POWER LED to light up.

6- Insert the vehicle connector into your

vehicle’s charging inlet.

7- The charging will resume automatically.

AFTER FOLLOWING THESE STEPS, IF THE

FAULT LED FLASHES CONTINUOUSLY

DURING OR AFTER CHARGING, DO NOT

USE THE DEVICE AND CONTACT

CUSTOMER SERVICE. (See Service section

of this manual).

11. State and Fault Identification For troubleshooting various faults that can occur please refer to the following table:

Minor Faults

VOLTI Go encountered a minor fault. Charging will be limited. Charging times may be longer.

● ● ◌ ◌● Slow charging in progress due to high temperature. Charging may take longer.

● ● ◌ ● Charging stopped due to high temperature. Check your device and make sure to remove your charger from direct sunlight.

Critical Faults

VOLTI Go encountered a critical fault. 1- Disconnect charging plug from vehicle inlet. 2- Unplug your VOLTI Go from electric outlet and re-plug. 3- After self-test. İf ERROR LED turns red, unplug your charging device and follow the instructions below: Try using your VOLTI Go charging device with another electric outlet. If problem persists, please contact a qualified electric technician.

12. Caring for your Charger

⚠ DANGER

Electric Shock & Fire Hazards WARNING! To avoid electric shock and

damage to your charger, clean your charger’s

plug and housing with caution.

Clean VOLTI Portable IC-CPD

Charger only with a dry cloth.

Never use any cleaning agents or

flammable solvents such as

benzene and alcohol.

Any contact with chemicals is prohibited and

can damage the device.

⚠ CAUTION Any changes or modification made to the

product without the approval and supervision of

VOLTI authorized service will result in the loss

of product regulatory compliance, void of

product warranty and is strictly forbidden.

13. Disposal of your Charger While disposing your VOLTI Portable IC-CPD

Charger, you must comply with

the local-law and guidelines of

your region. Product and batteries

must never be disposed of with

domestic waste.

Product must be

disposed of at an electronic waste

collection facility or your local VOLTI

dealer.

Dispose of product packing material

according to the type of the material

(e.g. plastic, carton, paper)

14. Warranty VOLTI ensures that the product will be free

from material and workmanship related defects.

Also the product will be free from design errors

for one (1) year from the original purchase date.

If the product is deemed to be defective in

construction, manufacturing or material while in

the warranty period, VOLTI will, at its discretion,

replace or repair the product. At VOLTI’s

discretion, the repaired parts and/or

replacement products can be of either new or

refurbished products.

Improper installation, incorrect connection of

peripherals, external electrical interference,

accident, disaster, misuse or any and all

changes made to the product that are not

approved with a written notification of VOLTI.

Any service and repairs outside of the warranty

period and conditions, shall be performed at the

rates, terms and conditions that are in effect at

the time of repair.

Any other implied or expressed warranties in

relation to this product, including but not limited

to the warranty of general suitability and fitness

for a particular purpose, are hereby excluded.

In some regions / countries, such exclusion of

implied warranties are not permitted. For these

regions / countries, the above statement may

not apply.

If the product is in non-compliance with the

above mentioned warranty, you are entitled to a

full replacement or repair of the defective

product. Under no circumstances shall VOLTI,

a sales and/or service representative or the

parent company be held accountable to the

customer or any other third party for any

damages that exceed the purchase price of the

product. This limitation also applies to damages

of any kind, including any direct or indirect

damages, loss of profits, loss of savings or

special incidental damages, punitive of

consequential damages, whether it be caused

by a breach of a contract, tort or any other

means, or if such damages are based on the

use or improper use of the product, even if

VOLTI or an authorized representative or

dealer of VOLTI has been advised by third

parties about the possibility of such damages or

any other claim.

In some regions / countries, such exclusion of

incidental or consequential damages is not

permitted for some products. For these regions

/ countries, the above statement may not apply.

With this warranty you obtain specific legal

rights. Depending on your county, you may

have other rights as well.
