Introduction
Thank you very much for purchasing our FH series digital printing inkjet printer (hereinafter
referred to as printer). Please carefully read the manual before using the printer and put
the manual at the place within easy reach at any time.
The inkjet printer adopts environment-friendly scattered direct-injection ink, supporting the
printing media with the maximum thickness of 0.3mm (unless otherwise noted for special
materials), with printing breadth of 3200mm and feeding width of 3230mm.
The operational manual describes the features of the printer, parts name, information that
should be known before using the equipment and the basic operation, for instance, how to
switch on and off and how to set various parameters of the printer.
Please carefully read the following contents before reading Chapter One:

The efficiency of KR series UV flat-roll inkjet printer could be affected by the number of print
heads and printing mode. Here only the efficiency for printing colors shall be listed.

Important particulars
The negligence of precautions mentioned below may seriously affect the working conditions
of the equipment, equipment service life or the service life of relevant parts, or even cause
the permanent damages of relevant parts, and may endanger staff’s physical and mental
health in some cases. Please operate in strict accordance with instructions.
1. If developing machine is used for coloration, different degrees of deformation may happen
to the materials due to the high temperature after coloration. Please test the shrinking ratio

of the printing sample before using a new kind of material and adjust the size of images in
the light of shrinking ratio.
2. Please use the ink designated by the manufacturer otherwise, it may affect the printing
effects or even cause the permanent damage of print head.
3. Please carefully read the requirements for working space and working environment of
the machine in this manual and strictly abide by the requirements,. Otherwise, it will
affect the working state of the machine, machine service life or service life of parts, or
even endanger staff’s physical health.
4. During the operation and maintenance process of the machine, please be sure to avoid
the contact of ink and non-cleaning fluid, so as to prevent the ink from any chemical
reaction which may cause machine damage.
5. Since the waste fluid generated from the machine will pollute the environment, please
properly dispose of the waste fluid in accordance with the requirements of local
environmental protection department.
6. The auxiliary ink box, filter, ink pump, air pump, liquid pump, refill tube and print head
of the machine all belong to wearing parts and shall be replaced periodically as per the
service condition.
Safety precautions To ensure that operators will properly use the equipment and prevent equipment damages
and unnecessary casualties, please carefully read the following safety precautions:
� Please use the voltage as specified on the nameplate and never plug several devices
into one power outlet at the same time to avoid fire disaster.
� Please check and ensure the equipment has been grounded reliably. Otherwise,
disturbance may be caused and lead to abnormal image printing of the machine.
� Never dismantle or transform the equipment by yourself, otherwise, such accidents
as fire disaster, electric shock and other accidents may be caused.
� Keep the circuit control section of the equipment away from metal objects or liquid,
otherwise, it will cause circuit board damage, fire disaster or other accidents.

� Never connect the power line of the equipment with wet hands, otherwise electric
shock may occur.
� In the event of the following situations, please switch off the equipment and contact
the local dealer if necessary:
1. The switch is insensitive or doesn’t work.
2. When the inkjet printer makes abnormal sound or produces smoke.
3. When any metal object or liquid splashes into the electric control part of the
equipment.
4. When problems that operators fail to settle arise.

Operation precautions
Power supply
1. Inkjet printer shall be installed near the power source convenient to use and the connecting outlet must be solid and reliable.
2. Relatively stable power supply in accordance with technical specification of inkjet printer shall be used.
3. Connect the power line to a separate outlet and never share the same power outlet with other equipment.
4. Pay attention to the order of power on and off so as to avoid damages to print head.
5. In case of unstable local voltage, please use voltage stabilizer to guarantee the stable voltage and choose the famous brand products, because inferior products may cause equipment fault or damage electrical component of the equipment (including print head).
Inkjet printer
1. Don’t place anything on the platform of the inkjet printer so as to avoid damages to print head.
2. In case of any maintenance for the machine as regards electrical control, please be sure to disconnect the power of inkjet printer.
3. Never touch the surface of print head with hands or hard objects.
Regular inspection and maintenance
1. Fill lithium base grease in mechanical parts with grease gun on a regular basis, in circumstances of normal printing, fill in the ink carriage linear guide once for every five shifts.
2. Refer to maintenance section for maintenance methodology of ink and print head.

There must be enough space surrounding the inkjet printer so as to facilitate replacement of
some commonly used spare parts and printing media, drawings output and ventilation. In

addition, make room for maintenance (as shown below) with the aim of printer repair or
spare parts replacement.
Installation and maintenance space is shown in the following figure:
� Environmental requirements
Operation temperature and humidity:
The optimal working temperature and humidity of the equipment: temperature 150C - 300C,
humidity 40%~80%.
Please try to keep the equipment working under the optimal working temperature and
humidity, otherwise, the printing quality may drop.
Don’t install the machine at the following locations:
� In direct sunlight
� Location with vibration
� Dusty places
� Location with drastic temperature variation

The minimum configuration requirements for the software operation of the product are
as follows:
CPU: CPU of four cores above 2.0 G.
Mother board: High quality brand mother board, with PCIe interface.
Display card: Graphic display card with video memory above 1 G.
Memory: Memory above 4 G.
Other: CD-ROM drive.
Hard disk: Over 200 G room is left, please use NTFS format as the hard disk format.
Operating system: WINDOWS XP, WIN7
� Machine unpacking and floor installation
1. Cut the steel strips on the packing box, four in total. The location of steel strips in red
mark is shown in the following figure:

2. Remove the fastening screws of the packing box, five sides in total, take down the side
plate and top cap of the packing box. The location of screws in red mark is shown in the
following figure:
3. Remove the fasteners at the bottom plate. Four fasteners in total: two in front and two
at the back.

4. Forklift above 5T is preferred to lift the machine to the ground, with the forklift placed in
the position as shown in red mark below. The length of fork shall be 1.5 m.
5. Screw out the four supporting feet (red) closer to universal casters, to make universal
casters (green) suspended.

6. Adopt level gauge with accuracy over 0.05 mm/m to adjust the levelness of worktable within
0.05 mm/m, by screwing the supporting feet mentioned above. (Note: During the adjustment
process, the swivel casters shall never touch the ground)

Front Pressure Shaft Components
Press cylinder up/down button and the rubber roller underneath rises to fit upper robber roller, when the button is bounced back, it is in falling state. The rollers shall be in compaction state during printing.

Infrared heating system is at the upper end of the system, while drying system at the lower end.

Controls on/off state of the ink route from auxiliary ink tank to print head. The operation chart of every three-way valve is shown in the following figure:
State 1: Working state, the valve shall be placed in upward direction for the equipment in normal operation, especially in printing.
State 2: Cleaning state: please place the valve in downward direction while cleaning the print head with cleaning fluid.
State 3: Close state, place the valve in the close direction when the equipment is off.
� Two-way Valve Body Assembly:
Every two-way valve has two taps and two valve cores and
is connected with the ink nozzle of two different print heads
through ink tube. In the state of impressing ink to the print
head, unscrew the valve core underneath anticlockwise,
then ink and bubble will flow to the two-way valve through
ink nozzle of print head and discharge from the ink outlet
beneath. When you screw the valve core underneath
clockwise, the ink inlet of two-way valve will be blocked.
� Accessories figure
� Moisturizing tray
Moisturizing tray is used for print head moisturizing. When the print head is
moisturized, place one to two layers of non-woven fabrics on the moisturizing
tray and inject proper amount of cleaning fluid (make sure that the non-woven
fabrics on the moisturizing tray are drenched), then put the moisturizing tray on
the print head plate and tighten the screw, ensuring the sound contact of nozzle
surface and cleaning fluid.

� Butterfly filter
Butterfly filter is installed between three-way valve body of ink route and ink inlet
of print head to prevent the foreign objects or impurities in the ink route system
from entering into the print head, so as to protect the print head. Butterfly filter
belongs to consumable and customers are advised to replace the filter every six
months.
� Consumables
� Printing media
The common media for the inkjet printer include such media for advertising equipment
as chemic fiber flag cloth, chemical fiber back light box cloth and elastic fabric. Please
pay attention to the following matters as regards media purchase,
storage, use and disposal:
� Inferior medium may reduce the printing quality, so it is suggested you select the
high quality printing media.
� Do not store the media vertically so as to avoid clutter or damaged edge, especially
for plate media, please place the plate media on flat surface and avoid any
deformation of the plate.

� Do not preserve the media in the environment with great temperature and humidity
changes, instead, the media shall be preserved in clean and tidy environment with
proper temperature and humidity.
� Do not use the printing media with scratch, wrinkle, curl and surface bulge. If you
use this kind of printing media, paper feeding (printing media) on both sides of the
roller will be affected, which may even result in equipment failure or damage in
severe case.
� Ensure the clean and tidy printing surface of the media during printing, free from
any dust and clutter, otherwise, equipment failure or damage may occur.
� Ink and cleaning fluid
The print head of inkjet printer belongs to high precision equipment. therefore, the ink
quality will greatly affect the printing quality and the service life of print head. Please
use the ink and cleaning fluid recommended by the manufacturer and pay attention
to the following items at the same time:
� Failure to use the ink as recommended may cause lowered printing quality or equipment damage.
� The guarantee period of ink is six months in general (calculated from the production date), so please use the ink within guarantee period.
� Make sure that there is plenty of ink in main ink bottle during the working period of the machine.
� Ink should be kept in a shady and cool place.
� Since ink and cleaning fluid are strong acid or alkaline liquid, please store them properly and try to avoid skin contact, let alone swallow, and keep it away from eyes.
� Maintenance tools
Please use the cleaning fluid recommended by the manufacturer to clean the print
head, moreover, use the specialized wiping paper recommended by the manufacturer
to wipe the print head, otherwise, it may lead to the permanent damage to the print
head.

1. Install mounting base of connection console to the machine (right end): use hexagonal
socket M10*25 screws to fix the mounting base of console to console over beam, as
shown in the following figure:
2. Install keyboard bracket, keyboard support plate and monitor bracket on the console
support in sequence: use two M8*15 screws to fix the keyboard bracket to the console
support, then use five M5*12 screws to fix keyboard support plate to keyboard bracket
and conduct leveling, finally use two M8x15 screws to fix the monitor bracket to the
console support and adjust to the proper height, as shown in the figure:

3. Use M4*10 screws to fix the monitor on monitor bracket and place the keyboard and
mouse on keyboard support plate, and the routing is shown in the following figure:
4. Tighten all the screws after adjusting keyboard support plate and monitor height.

� Switch on and off

1. Insert one end of inkjet printer power cord provided into the electric socket (left rear side of the machine) with the other end directly connected to the industrial connector in grid distribution box. (Note: The work must be done by professional electrician!)
2. Turn the corresponding two leakage protection switches on lower left electric cabinet to the position of ON. Switch on the power you need as per the following
instructions.

3. Check whether the two “STOP” buttons on the left and right of the machine are turned on.
4. Press “POWER” button (right console) of the machine to start the machine.
5. The machine will carry out self test after starting.
6. The carriage will stop at the cleaning position on the left after the machine completes self test. Now the power is on.
7. Then turn on high voltage of print head by pressing JET VOLTAGE button and make sure that this button has been pressed before printing every time.

Note: Please make sure that you switch on the machine before turning on high
voltage of print head.
� Switch off
1. Make sure that the print head of the machine is not working.
2. Turn off high voltage of the print head of the machine.
3. Turn off the power of all other parts of the machine.
4. Press “EMERGENCY STOP” button of the machine.
5. Turn off all the leakage protection switch on left electric cabinet.

� Computer connection
1. Plug PCIe card into PCIe slot on computer motherboard. Every computer usually has
several PCIe slots, as shown in the following figure, the motherboard has three PCIe
slots, namely two slots of PCIe X16 and one slot of PCIe X1. Our PCIe port is PCIe
X1 port and can be plugged into any of the following slots (PCIe X16 is downward
compatible with PCIe X1). Fasten the PCIe card with clip or screw after plugging.
2. Connect fiber optics and communication cable after installation of PCIe card.
With Direct connection of communication cables, install and fasten with screws. The
connection of fiber optics and carriage plate shall be as following sketch.
3. Power the computer on after completing PCIe installation and connection. The
computer will require installation of PCIe drive, and you may find the PCIe drive of the

device under LiyuPrint directory in computer disk. Double click drive installation file
and start installation.
4. You are required to select the language after double click. Just select the language
as per your habit.
5. Then continue installation of PCIe card drive according to system prompt. Make sure
that you have properly inserted the ICIe card and closed all the anti-virus software
before installation.
6. If “LiyuPCIeDrv Device” can be found in computer device manager after installation,
it shows the device has been properly installed ready for use.

Some print heads of the machine have not been installed onto the machine. Therefore,
this chapter will start from the installation of single print head to the machine. If print
heads have been installed onto the machine, please omit the illustration of print head
installation.

Before unpacking the print head, please carefully read the identification on the print
head package, check whether the print head model is correct pursuant to description
and take down the voltage parameter for every print head (the parameter will be used
while adjusting print head state).
� Print head installation
1. First install the bottom plate of print head onto the machine and place clean non-
woven fabrics under the bottom plate of print head, so as to avoid soiling nozzle
panel or blocking nozzle during print head installation process.
2. Remove the packing of print head according to the order below and take down
the protection cover under print head (the protection cover is used to protect
nozzle panel):
3. Place the print head at the installation position and tighten the fastening screw
of print head, then tighten the adjusting screw of print head.

4. Connect the ink route of print head as per the method in the following picture,
with the rear end of print head connected with three-way valve body of ink route
(connected to butterfly filter) and front end connected with two-way valve body.
The print head bottom plate is equipped with ink tube required before the
machine leaves the factory. Because the ink tube may be linked together to
prevent from dust contamination, you need to cut off at a certain proper position.
Refer to LiyuPrint software specification for detailed calibration method for print
head.
� Electrical connection

attention to the interface direction during connection.

Ink-Heater Temperature controller of print head ink heating can control the heating temperature after setting the proper temperature.
Switch SW 2 Infrared heating system switch. Infrared heating system starts working after switching on.
Media-Heart Temperature controller of infrared heating system can control the heating temperature after setting the proper temperature.
� Zone control of infrared heating system
There are three fan switch buttons at the lower right side of infrared heating system in joint
control of 12 rows of fans. You may decide the quantities of fans on according to your needs.

� Feed reverse, feed forward and anti-direction buttons
The functions are described as follows:
ANTI—DIRECTION Diversion button of feeding motor. The motor is diverted after pressing the button.
FEED FORWARD Feeding button of feeding motor. The motor starts feeding after pressing the button.
FEED REVERSE Take-up button of feeding motor. The motor starts take-up after pressing the button.
� Add ink and fill the print head with ink
� Install ink
Open the cabinet door of ink route on the left side of the machine and you can see the
main ink box. Please pour ink of corresponding colors as per the colors marked on main

ink box. The colors are marked as K (black), C (blue), M (red) and Y (yellow). The last
one without label is filled with cleaning fluid. Examples are shown in the following figure:
� Inject ink into the auxiliary ink tank
Please make sure that there is enough ink in the main ink bottle before injecting ink into
the auxiliary ink tank and the steps are as follows:
� Ensure that there is enough ink in the main ink bottle and conduct inspection of the
machine before starting.
� When you switch on inkjet printer for the first time, since the auxiliary ink tank is
empty, ink pumps of all colors will start working automatically and pump ink from
main ink box into auxiliary ink tank.
� When all the ink pumps stop working, it means all the auxiliary ink tanks have been
injected with ink.
� The transient buzzer sound during the process may be resulted from rather long
ink pump route and timeout.
� In the event of ink pump not working or prolonged alarming of buzzer, please switch
off the machine in time and examine. In case of failure to settle the problem, please
contact the local dealer or after-sales department of our company immediately.
� Inject ink into the print head
Since it is a very important operation to inject ink into the print head, please operate in
strict accordance with requirements. There are two critical operations, namely print
head cleaning and venting.
� Print head cleaning:
ink for the first time because protective liquid has been injected into the nozzle of
print head. You must wash off the protective liquid before injecting ink.

In view of the power of cleaning fluid pump, it is suggested that you clean
a single print head every time. First, put the three-way valve of single print head
at purging state with other print head valves off, then unscrew corresponding
two-way valve, press purging button and make the cleaning fluid flow out from
two-way valve, clean the pipelines of this part. About one or two seconds later,
tighten two-way valve and make the cleaning fluid cascade out from nozzle for
about five seconds. clean other print heads according to the above method. Five
minutes later, clean all the print heads again as per the above method. Thus
print head cleaning is completed.
Print head cleaning operation involves cleaning fluid pump directly pumping
cleaning fluid to clean the print head, without any positive pressure, so
pneumatic three-way valve body operation is not required.
� Venting of print head:
Inject ink into the print head after cleaning print head. Venting operation shall
be conducted together with ink injection with the specific operation process as
follows:
1. It is also suggested that you conduct venting for every single print head,
that is to say, venting operation is conducted for only one print head every
time with valve body of other print heads off.
2. First of all, put the corresponding three-way-valve in working state and at
the same time place pneumatic three-way valve body in positive pressure
state.
3. Unscrew the corresponding two-way valve core to ensure smooth ink outlet.
Press positive pressure button and impress ink from the auxiliary ink tank
into the print head, then ink will flow out from two-way valve core. Observe
the ink flow state at the ink outlet. If the ink flows down vertically without
any bubbles around, you can tighten two-way valve so that ink will flow out
from the nozzle. (Tips: it may take long to impress ink for the first time with
such long pipelines, moreover, there is no sufficient ink in the auxiliary ink
tank, please hold on for a while after positive pressure so as to enable ink
supply system to refill the auxiliary ink tank and then continue positive
pressure).
4. Carry out the above operation for every print head in succession. Place all
three-way valves in working state after completing venting for all print
heads. Press positive pressure button and impress ink for all print heads
again, then complete ink injection of print heads.
5. Meanwhile, in case of bubble found in ink tube leading to print head, which
affects ink out of the print head, the above method can also be adopted to
carry out venting operation.

Positive pressure ink refers to impressing ink of the auxiliary ink tank into the print head
by pressing positive pressure button to eliminate the air in the nozzle and flush through
the nozzle blocked not so seriously, as well as solve some common problems of printing
disconnection.
You can impose positive pressure to either a single print head or several or all print heads
with the specific operation steps as follows:
� Move the carriage to idle position, the far left of the machine.
� Make sure that the corresponding ink route three-way valve body for the print head
demanding ink impression is in working state. In case there are other print heads
for the same color, switch the corresponding ink route three-way valve body of other
print heads off.
� Turn the pneumatic three-way valve body to positive pressure state.
� Press positive pressure button and hold for a while, observe the ink out status of
print head and release positive pressure button when you feel ink flowing smoothly.
� Wait for two seconds and wipe the nozzle surface with clean non-woven fabrics.
� Negative Pressure Adjustment
Since negative pressure is an important factor for guarantying print quality, the operation
of its adjustment is crucial. The target of adjustment is to make ink form meniscus in every
nozzle printer. As long as sound meniscus is maintained, we can assure that ink droplets
are ejected at a high speed with few flight drops. Vacuum negative pressure system is
applied to this printer.
� Negative pressure system introduction
As described above, FH series products have the standard configuration of negative
pressure design for color print heads. If you also equip the product with ink degasser,
another line of negative pressure system will be added to provide high negative
pressure for ink degasser. Vacuum pressure switch is used to adjust all the negative
pressure of print heads and located on the left front console panel (see introduction
of “Left Front Console Panel”). Degasser is connected with vacuum negative
pressure components by means of high negative pressure switch. You may see it by
opening the left side door behind the machine. (See Article 12 of front view for details)

Power on reset: the machine will carry out X axis reset after starting and the reset
movement includes:
Seek vacant location on X axis again and precisely detect the vacant location
Software reset: LiyuPrint software contains system reset button, allowing users to
reset the equipment if necessary. Pressing reset button will make X axis seek vacant
location (similar to X axis power-on reset) again. The following two buttons marked

� Media positioning
The equipment provides origin orientation function and automatic detection function. You
may set these functions in the dialog box “system setting-origin setting”. You can also open
the dialog box “origin setting” by clicking the icon in LiyuPrint main interface.
� Origin orientation
Origin orientation function can locate the printing media position according to the
coordinate of X axis, thus realizing accurate positioning printing. The coordinate origin
is the original 0 point, that is to say, the carriage stops at the right-most position
of X axis. however, we usually don’t start printing from the original 0 point. Therefore,
this value can’t achieve precise and intuitive positioning. instead, certain test and
calculation shall be needed for the accurate positioning. You may realize the function by
setting the parameters in the following red frame:

When you tick and enable any origin position, the origin printing function on LiyuPrint
main interface will be ticked. Then you can quickly select whether to use the origin
printing function by ticking or not ticking “origin printing” on the main interface.
Meanwhile, you can obtain the current coordinate of the carriage by getting the position
on certain axis on the interface after moving the carriage to the corresponding position,
and the coordinate acquired from operation is also relative to
the original 0 point position.
� Automatic detection
Select media origin in dialog box “origin setting” as the origin orientation type and
then select the quantity of materials to be detected, up to 6 portions of media
allowed, click “detection” button and the machine starts detecting. After completing
detection, the position and breadth of media will be displayed in the corresponding
place according to the material quantity that you select.

The position and breadth are not necessarily accurate due to the sensor and other
reasons. In case of large deviations during printing, you can adjust to the relatively
accurate value through the dialog box “correction”.
Positioning operation after successful detection: there are two methods for
positioning after detection:
1. Switch positioning method to carriage origin and fill in the corresponding origin
location through the position and breadth of materials obtained.
2. Select the image position and print directly in the current interface. Here are three
typesetting modes provided, namely boundary printing, central printing and user-
defined. You can directly set the distance from the image to the boundary, as
shown in the following figure:

Printing process:
1. Unlike polyster fabric printing, you will use M4x10 bolts (eight in total as shown in
the circles below) to install working table plate on the profile bedplate before
installing the media and install the media in the central position of the machine, as
shown in the figure:
2. Open the lower right case and you will see fan inverter control panel with the
function of controlling fan on/off and its suction capacity. Start the fan and adjust
the wind force while printing sublimation paper media, as shown in the following
figure:

First case: the first line in the table means the current inverter stops operation, and
the setting value equal to or greater than zero indicates the inverter will run forward

3. Inverter setting has been completed before leaving the factory. You just need to

� Daily Maintenance Instructions
1. Keep the working environment of the printer clean and ventilated, and clean dust
and ink on the printer periodically.
2. Keep the work surface clean. Every time before starting it up, check whether the
working board is cleaned, to avoid scatching the print head.
3. Inject lithium base greases into the slider by grease gun every forty hours operation,
to reduce its frictional resistance against the guide rail and extend its service life.
4. Maintain an appropriate belt tightening of the ink carriage timing belt, which can be
adjusted after removing the upper left end cap. After the adjustment, connecting
screws must be fixed tightly.
5. Every time after finishing refilling ink, make sure the cover of the main ink tank is
screwed tightly. Wipe off residual ink on the tank.
6. For positive pressure printing, after wiping the printhead, flash spray for around 10
seconds first before printing pictures, to achieve sound meniscus formed by ink
droplets in the nozzle.
7. The area around the orifice must be maintained clean,. No residual ink,dust or fiber
is allowed. Orifice shall not be scratched.
8. Since the ink and the cleaning fluid contain strong solvent, they mustn’t contact
electrical components and wires. Were ink or cleaning fluid spilled on them
accidently, they would be wiped off cleanly as soon as possible.
9. Clear liquid waste in the liquid waste box in time.
10. Every day before the startup and shutdown, it is recommended to print nozzle test
chart to check whether the nozzle is in normal condition. Provided that ink outflows
brokenly, press the ink or clean the nozzle to make it work properly.
� Print head Maintenance Instructions
As the core component, the print head is much expensive and sensitive, which requires good
maintenance. Otherwise, print quality and its service life would be seriously affected. Print
head maintenance instructions are as follows:
1. In using the printer, please use the ink appointed by the manufacturer. Do not change
the ink at will, or it might lead to malfunction of print head.
2. When the device stops running, maintenance methods of different sorts should be
adopted in accordance with the length of downtime:
� If printer downtime is within a working day and you are not willing to turn it off, it
should be set under the state of flash spray. Before the flash work, please confirm

the status of print head. If it is not in a good condition, do the ink press operation
first.
� If the downtime is over 12 hours to a whole day, it is recommended that the valve
knob be screwed to the closed state, the ink carriage be stopped within the upper
left case, power be switched off, a layer of non-woven fabrics be embedded into
the wet protection tray, a small amount of cleaning liquid be injected into the wet
protection tray (non-woven fabrics should be drenched), and then the print head
can be moisturized with the wet protection tray, during which operation make sure
that the whole nozzle surface is in touch with cleaning liquid.
� If the downtime is within two days, the maintenance operations are the same as
the previous one. Meanwhile, non-woven fabrics in the wet protection tray should
be replaced every day, and new cleaning liquid should be injected into it (Cleaning
liquid needs to be changed, because components of moisturizing function within it
are easy to volatilize).
� If the downtime is over three days, clean up the ink within the print head following
its cleaning method, inject a little cleaning liquid into it (Leave some cleaning liquid
in the print head when doing the cleaning.)Meanwhile, moisturize the nozzle
surface with the wet protection tray according to method 2. In addition, replace non-
woven fabrics in the wet protection tray every three days and inject new cleaning
liquid into it.
3. Scrubbing the nozzle panel
� Every time when pressing ink with positive press or after cleaning the printhead,
scrub the nozzle panel. Wipe away residual ink and cleaning liquid on the nozzle
panel, to prevent it droping onto the printer or print media.
� When scrubbing the nozzle panel, dedicated non-woven fabrics should be used,
and make sure of its cleanness. Non-woven fabrics contaminated by dust, stain or
water, especially the one which has been used to scrub ink, should not be used to
wipe the nozzle panel, as ink on it can lead to a seriously blocked nozzle.
� Scrub the nozzle panel along a single direction rather than back and forth. Do not
scrub it with great strength, but touch it lightly, to avoid damage of nozzle surface.
� Dispose the used non-woven fabrics properly. Do not reuse it.
4. Adjusting the printhead condition in printing
� To guarantee print quality, please make sure every nozzle on the printhead is in
good condition, whose condition can be improved by pressing ink with positive
Negative pressure or doing the cleaning. The following items are very important to
guarantee the nozzle condition.
� The requirement of printer’s working environment shall be maintained well,
especially the temperature. The print head temperature shall be between 150C and
260C.Print quality may be affected if the temperature is below 150C or above 280C.

� Make sure the print head exhaust completely, and no bubble remains in it.
� Adjust voltage and negative pressure of print head. A higher print head voltage can
improve the accuracy and color saturation of ink droplets, but it can cause the ink
outflow to be frequently broken as well.
� Ink Use Guidelines
1. Very Important: Prevent ink or any part of ink route from contacting water or any
solution containing water molecules, otherwise, gel may be produced, blocking
ink route or even print head.
2. Safety instructions:
Some chemical substances contained in ink are of very low toxicity and irritation, which
will irritate eyes and respiratory system and cause allergic reaction. Contact with ink can
be effectively reduced with sound ventilating device and personal protective devices.
When dealing with ink, acrylic gloves and work clothes should be worn. If ink spills onto
the skin, it should be washed immediately with soap-suds.
Eating, drinking and smoking are forbidden in the workspace.
3. Storage of ink:
Ink should be stored in sealed containers and placed in a cool, dry place with good
ventilation, free from exposure to strong light, with the proper storage temperature of
10℃ to 40℃. Though ink has the storage duration of 12 months, it is recommended to
use it up within 3 months. Pay attention to the production date when using ink. The
expired ink shall never be used. Because temperature has a great effect on viscosity of
ink, during change of seasons the different viscosity of ink may affect printing effect,
especially between winter and summer. In addition, ink manufacturers may adjust the
viscosity of ink according to change of seasons, hence you should select ink as per
actual ambient temperature.

I Developing machine introduction
Self-innovated by Liyu, BXS developing machine is a kind of constant-temperature
coloration equipment for chemical fiber textile fabrics, serving as the accessory of
FH series digital printing machine.
II Use precautions
� Different degrees of shrinkage may happen to the materials due to the high
temperature after coloration. Please test the shrinking ratio of the printing sample
before using a new kind of material and adjust the size of images in the light of
shrinking ratio.
� Never use the machine in the places with water or corrosive, ignitable gas or close
to flammable materials.
� Never use the machine when the wires are immersed in oil or water.
� Neither connect wires nor operate the machine with wet hands.
� Don’t share the power supply with other equipment. The machine shall use a
separate power supply.
� When the machine is in operation, never touch such high temperature regions as
exhaust pipe and lifting roller, let alone open the front door of oven at will so as to
avoid scalding.

� Machine power-on
1. Please connect the power cable socket with the machine with another end of power
cable connected to power grid (brown wire to L line, blue wire to N line and black wire to
the ground), which shall be completed by the professional electrician.

2. Open the electrical cabinet and switch on two leakage protection switches (the upper
one in control of main engine and the lower one in control of heating). Never touch the
connection terminals during operation so as to avoid electric shock.
3. Check whether “emergency stop” button of the machine is switched on and press
“POWER” to start the machine.

� Feeding
1. Make sure that the lifting rod is at the lowest point before feeding, if not, rotate the
button to the left and make the lifting rod descend to the lowest point.
2. There are two working modes for the developing machine, namely independent work
of developing machine and linkage work of developing machine and direct injection
machine. Hence there are two feeding methods for developing machine. Feeding
diagram is shown as follows.
� Independent work: before power-on, properly place the developing machine by
fixing four supporting feet at the bottom of the machine. Materials shall be placed
at the middle position between the two rubber rollers. Ensure the materials are tidy
and flat during feeding.
� Linkage with developing machine: properly place the developing machine before
power-on so that the central line of developing machine is aligned to that
of direct injection machine, two machines in relatively parallel with the spacing of
90CM. Please ensure the materials are tidy and flat during feeding.

� Start coloration
1. Press heater button and heat to the set temperature. Switch on fume extractor after
reaching heating temperature.
2. Adjust the set temperature by temperature controller and take-up motor speed by digital
display panel according to the features of ink and materials.
3. As to developing machine in independent work, press the yellow button (shielding
detection sensor) in the electrical cabinet. In case of linkage work between developing
machine and direct injection machine, don’t press the yellow button.

4. Press coloration button (make sure the spinner handles of the two rotary knobs are in
the middle) and the developing machine starts working. The developing machine will
present automatic operation upon pressing the button with the coloration start function,
manual operation not needed. After completing coloration of all materials, switch off
coloration button and heating button, then emergency stop button.

I. Detailed Setting of Vacuum pressure gauge
Panasonic DP-101 digital Negative pressure switch is specially designed to
inspect and control vacuum, whose range is -100~-100KPa. 4-core interface is
applied to the control signal line and negative pressure gauge, which is
completely compatible with ink plate as well as SMC ZSE 30A. DP-101
Pressure gauge has two display screens, among which the main display shows
real-time value, while the minor screen shows the setting value.
( A ) Calibration of reference pressure of the pressure gauge ( When setting parameters for
the first time, the method below must be followed) .
The calibration of its reference pressure has already been completed when ex-factory, i.e.
standard atmospheric pressure is set as the datum zero. Normally, calibration is not
required.
When reference pressure changes due to some unpredictable factors, pressure calibration
is required. Otherwise, the displayed Negative pressure would deviate from actual
pressure.
Calibrating method: 1. Disassemble the air tube behind the pressure gauge,
2. Energize the pressure gauge, and some value will be shown
on its screen.
3. Press both ▲and▼ buttons for over 2 seconds at the same
time, and the main display will show the value 0.0.
Calibration of reference pressure has been completed.
( B) Working mode
The negative pressure gauge always display “RUN Mode” , while “Menu Setting Mode”
is used for basic setting, , and “PRO Mode” is used for advanced functionalities, . Under
“RUN Mode”, reference values can be adjusted, locked and so on. Under “Menu Setting
Mode”, basic settings, such as setting the output mode and switching between NO and
NC, can be operated. Under “PRO Mode”, advanced functionalities like Hysteresis
adjustment and copy function, can be set.
During the normal operation of “RUN Mode”, by pressing “MODE” button, the mode
switching button, for 2 seconds, it will switch to “Menu Setting Mode”, while by pressing
“MODE” button for 5 seconds, it will switch to “PRO Mode”.
( C) Output mode and seting
As for comparison output 1 and comparison output 2, output mode can be chosen among
EASY Mode as well as Hysteresis Mode and Window Comparator Mode.
1. Long press “MODE” button for 2 seconds to enter Menu Setting, and the main
display shows EASY while the minor screen shows OUT1.
2. Through pressing ▲and▼ button, to set OUT1 output mode and select EASY
mode, Hysteresis mode or Window Comparator mode.It shows EASY for the first

energizing. The picture below shows the display interface of the negative pressure
gauge.
3. Press “MODE” button to enter OUT2 setting, the main display shows OFF for the
first energizing. Through pressing ▲and▼ button, to set OUT2 output mode. The
picture below demonstrates display interface of the negative pressure gauge.
4. Press “MODE” button to enter NO/NC switching interface, and select NO/NC
through ▲and▼ buttons. We set output 1 as NO and output 2 as NC. The picture
below shows the display interface of the negative pressure gauge.
5. Press “MODE” button to enter response time setting, and set default time as 2.5.
The picture below shows the display interface of the negative pressure gauge.
6. Press “MODE” button to enter color conversion setting of the main display, and
choose the color of main display through ▲and▼ buttons. The picture below
shows the display interface of the negative pressure gauge.
7. Press “MODE” button to enter unit setting. The default unit of negative pressure
gauge is shown as KPa, which is the unit we need. Unit could be selected through
▲and▼ buttons. The interface is shown as the picture.
8. By this time Menu setups have been circled a circle. Press “MODE” button
once again to return. The main display shows actual air pressure values.Or
long press “MODE” button for 2 seconds during the setting to return to the
home page.

9. Long press for 5 seconds to enter into “PRO Mode” , under which we only need
to set Hysteresis fixed value as 11.With the default value 111, the negative
pressure gauge fluctuates too frequent in the process of control. Operation
procedure: Press “MODE” button three times, and the interface of the Pressure
gauge is

10. Press“MODE” button to enter P-1 and P-2 value setting, and set the value
as the pressure imposed on the ink-feeding system during normal operation.
Note:
1. Above values are common-used setting values. Specific values may be
sort of different.
2. The instantaneous display of pressure gauge at its being energized is not
in measuring status, but as follows:
It means that the pressure gauge will enter the working state after being energized for
5 seconds.
II. Adjustment of vacuum negative pressure value
Vacuum negative pressure is adjusted through vacuum pressure gauge. The negative
pressure value has been set while leaving the factory and users can make minor
adjustment of negative pressure value. Notes: When you set the negative pressure
gauge or change the setting value of negative pressure, be sure to unplug the
windpipe of the negative pressure gauge or make other air passage of negative

pressure system lead to the air outside, so as to prevent reverse suction of
auxiliary ink tank resulting from overpressure due to output of negative pressure
gauge.
The specific adjustment method is as follows:
1. Calculation of setting value for negative pressure gauge
A) Differential mode: threes values to be set for negative pressure gauge: Lo_1,
Hi_1 and P_2 with the unit Kpa, among which p_2=Lo_1=Hi_1-0.2.
For example, suppose Hi_1 = -50, -50-0.2=-50.2. then the setting value for p_2 and Lo_1
shall be -50.2. the final negative pressure value is between Lo_1 and Hi_1.
B) EASY mode: two values to be set for negative pressure gauge: P_1 and P_2
with the unit Kpa, among which p_2=P_1-0.2.
For example, suppose P_1 = -1.6, -1.6-0.2=-1.8. then the setting value for p_2 shall be -
1.8. the final negative pressure value is between P_1 and p_2.
2. Alteration method of setting value for negative pressure gauge
A) Differential mode: Press “MODE” button to enter setting state and the secondary
display shows Lo_1 once and then the value of Lo_1. Adjust the value by pressing ▲
or▼ button.
Continue to press “MODE” to enter setting state of Hi_1 and the secondary display
shows Hi_1 once and then the value of Hi_1. Adjust the setting value of Hi_1 by
pressing ▲ or▼ button.
Continue to press “MODE” to enter setting state of P_2 and the secondary display
shows P_2 once and then the value of P_2. Adjust the setting value of P_2 by
pressing ▲ or▼ button.
B) EASY mode: Press “MODE” button to enter setting state and the secondary display
shows P_1 once and then the value of P_1. Adjust the value by pressing ▲ or▼ button.
Continue to press “MODE” to enter setting state of P_2 and the secondary display
shows P_2 once and then the value of P_2. Adjust the setting value of P_2 by
pressing ▲ or▼ button.
Note: when adjusting the setting value of pressure gauge, the interval for every setting
value shall not exceed 0.2.

III. Setting parameter values for the machine
Negative pressure value is generally adjusted between -2.5 and -2.7 and the specific value may vary slightly on the basis of local season and climate. Customers should make minor adjustment as per needs.
