    Important!

    ● To prevent loss of water resistanceand/or damage due to impact, besure to push the crown in to itsnormal position after you arefinished using it.

    ● When pushing the crown back in,take care not to apply too muchforce.

    ● Fast Forward/Fast ReverseAfter pulling out the crown to the first or secondclick, rotating it quickly in succession in eitherdirection will start a fast forward or fast reverseoperation. While a fast forward operation is inprogress, quickly rotating the crown insuccession again will increase the speed evenfurther.● The fast reverse operation speed is fixed

    and cannot be changed.

    ● Stopping Fast Forward/Fast ReverseRotate the crown in the direction opposite thatof the ongoing operation or press any button.

    Note

    ● If you do not perform any operationfor about two minutes after pullingout the crown, crown operations willautomatically become disabled. Ifthat happens, push the crown backin and then pull it out again.

    ● Mode Hand and Day IndicatorMovement

Changing the day setting of the watch will alsocause the mode hand to move.

    ● Day● It can take anywhere from about one minute

to three minutes for the day indicator tochange after timekeeping reachesmidnight. The mode hand moves as the dayindicator changes.

    ● The day may not be indicated correctly whilethe watch’s crown is pulled out.

    Solar Charging

What is solar charging? This watch runs on power supplied from arechargeable (secondary) battery that ischarged by a solar panel. The solar panel isintegrated into the face of the watch, andpower is generated whenever the face isexposed to light.● This watch uses a special rechargeable

(secondary) battery.ー The watch’s battery will not charge if the

    watch’s temperature is less thanapproximately -10°C (14°F) or greaterthan approximately 60°C (140°F).

ー Over-discharge will occur if the watch isnot charged within approximately threemonths after it stops operation due to lowbattery power. Charging may not bepossible after over-discharge occurs.

Charging the WatchWhen you are not wearing the watch, put it ina location where it is exposed to bright light.

While you are wearing the watch, make surethat its face (solar panel) is not blocked fromthe light by the sleeve of your clothing. Powergeneration efficiency is reduced even whenthe face of the watch is blocked only partially.

    NOYES

    2

  • Important!

    ● If the second hand stops for sometime after the watch is continuouslyexposed to light, it could mean thatcharging is not possible due to over-discharge. Request chargeable(secondary) battery replacement byyour original retailer or authorizedCASIO service center.

    ● Depending on light intensity andlocal conditions, the watch maybecome hot to the touch whenexposed to light for charging. Takecare to avoid burn injury aftercharging. Also, avoid charging thewatch under high-temperatureconditions like the ones describedbelow.ー On the dashboard of a vehicle

parked in the sunー Near an incandescent light bulb or

other source of heatー Under direct sunlight or in other

    hot areas for long periods

    Note

    ● Exposing the watch face to light afterthe battery goes dead will cause thesecond hand to revolvecounterclockwise until it stops atsecond 57. This indicates charginghas started.

    ● A fully charged watch can operatefor approximately seven monthswithout further charging. Watchoperation will stop approximately 20days after the battery goes low.

  • Time Adjustment (GPS,Time Calibration

Signal)The watch’s time, day, and Home City (timezone) settings can be configured inaccordance with a received GPS signal ortime calibration signal.● GPS signal position information: Used to

update Home City (time zone), time, andday settings.

    ● GPS signal time information: Used toupdate time and day settings.

    ● Time calibration signal: Used to update timeand day settings.

    Important!

    ● Before trying to receive GPS signaltime information and/or a timecalibration signal, first use GPS toacquire position information andconfigure Home Time (time zone)settings.

    ● Put the watch into the Airplane Modewhenever you are inside an aircraftor in any other area where radiowave reception is prohibited orrestricted.l Using the Watch on an Aircraft

    Note

    ● Areas where time calibration signalreception is supported are limited. When the watch in an area wheretime calibration signal reception isnot supported, adjust time and daysettings based on GPS signals.l Time Calibration SignalReception Ranges

    Appropriate Signal ReceptionLocation

GPS signal reception is possible outdoorswhere the sky is visible and not blocked bybuildings, trees, or other objects.

    Note

    ● In areas where reception is poor, keep the watch face orientedupwards and do not move the watch.

    ● When the watch is set up for autoreceive, take care to avoid coveringthe watch face with the sleeve ofyour clothing.

    ● GPS signal reception is not possiblein the areas described below.ー Where the sky is not visibleー Indoors (Reception may be

possible near a window.)ー Near wireless communication

equipment or other devices thatgenerate magnetism.

    ● You may experience GPS signalreception problems in the areasdescribed below.ー Where the view of the sky above

is narrowー Near trees or buildingsー Near a train station, airport, or

    other congested areas

    Acquiring GPS Position InformationManually

You can use a button operation to acquireGPS position information and adjust yourHome City (time zone), time, and day settingsin accordance with your current location.

    Note

    ● GPS signal reception requires largeamounts of power. Perform it onlywhen necessary.

Getting readyThe receive operation is performed only whilethe watch is in the Timekeeping Mode (normaltimekeeping).● Normally the mode hand points to the

current day of the week.l Navigating Between Modes
