• IWB lessons by grade– These lessons use ActivInspire that has already been

installed on your teacher & presentation computer• This is very similar to SMART Notebook

– NEW – option to use SMART Notebook!!• You can download:

– The entire unit– The entire lesson– or individual strands

Click Resources, then View to get this screen

Click on Journeys Interactive Whiteboard Lessons

You will get this screen

You can choose either one but I recommend using SMART since it is now available!

Download Unit Download Lesson

Download Strand

• After making your selection – click Download– For this example I am downloading a strand– You will be asked to Open or Save the file– If all you want to do is browse the lesson –

you can choose Open• If you decide you want to save the lesson after

viewing – just click File and save to your U drive (or a flash drive)

You can close the dashboard window .

If you uncheck the box – The dashboard won’t open each time

If you use the ActivInspire choice –this is what you will see

If you click the little push pin icon – it will move the Page Browser window to the far left so you can see a full view of your lesson. Clicking on the icon again (located at the far left) will bring the window back

If you use the ActivInspire choice – this is what you will see

• Click on the arrows to proceed thru the lesson

• Use the arrow icon to select (just like Notebook)

• Use the pen icon to write on board

The following slide has the ActivInspire icons IF you should

use that download choice.

Home Return to the Main Menu.

Teaching Tips Access the Teaching Tips PDF for that particular screen.

Teacher Resources Open the Teacher Resources PDF, which contains all teaching tips info, learning objectives and CC State Standards.

Select Tool Use to point to content on the page, to drag items, and to resetbutton settings.

Pen Tool Use to write on the whiteboard.

Highlighter Tool Use the to shade a key word or sentence.

Eraser Tool Tap and drag over written content or drawing to erase it.

Refresh Return the page to its last saved state.

Teacher Notes Open the ActivInspire Notes pane, where the teacher/student can write and save notes.

Keyboard Tool Use to access and use an on-screen keyboard.

Next and Previous Go to the next or previous screen of a lesson.

Pull Tab Pull across to access additional student-facing information relating to the activity on screen.
