Msgr. Brovey will be leading a pilgrimage to
Italy, visiting Assisi, Florence, Orvieto and
Rome. See the peaceful hillside town of St. Fran-
cis and St. Clare, the Renaissance city of Flor-
ence, and Orvieto where the tradition of the
Corpus Christi Eucharistic Processions began.
While in the Rome, we will visit some of the
most significant churches in Church history, the
Holy Stairs, and the catacombs. We will also
attend a Papal Audience with Pope Francis and
enjoy a Scavi Tour beneath St. Peter’s. This is a
wonderful spiritually enriching experience with
much fun and fellowship mixed in! $3,998 In-

I want to thank Kay Phillip for all her dedicated
service to the Cathedral parish as our bookkeep-
er. Kay’s husband has accepted a new job in
Asheville, NC. Kay has been a great help to me
and the Finance Council these past two years
and she will be greatly missed. I know that you
join me in thanking Kay for her great work and
pray that her move to Asheville goes smoothly.
Kay’s last day in the parish office will be 13 Oc-

Rosary Vigil for Life!
Our Lady of Fatima asks that we amend our
lives and ask forgiveness for our sins. On 13
October at 7pm, at Charleston Women's Medi-
cal Center, 1312 Ashley River Rd. Charleston,
Bishop Robert Guglielmone will be praying
the Rosary for the end of abortion. This is in
conjunction with thousands of other rallies
held at the same time throughout the United

All Souls Envelopes:
Please fill out your All Souls’ envelopes with a
list of your deceased loved ones and return
them to the Parish Office via the collection bas-
ket or drop off by Friday, 27 October. The enve-
lopes will be placed on the altar and your inten-
tions for your loved ones will be offered at the
Mass on All Souls’ Day, 2 November.

Sacrament of Marriage
Either the bride or the groom must be a practicing
Catholic and registered at the Cathedral for at least
twelve months before scheduling a wedding date and
beginning the six month marriage preparation. The
bride/groom must be an active parishioner, regularly
attending Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obliga-
tion, and use of the envelope system in support of the
parish. The Wedding Policy Booklet may be found on
the Cathedral Website.

Various facilities and services are available to our
active members. This includes use of the church for
Baptisms, Weddings and other Sacramental events,
Godparent/Sponsor letters, and includes parishioner
status in parochial schools.
Active Membership is determined by four things:
Being properly registered in the parish for a suffi-
cient period of time.
Faithful attendance at Mass on Sundays and Holy
Days.
Use of the envelope system in support of the par-
ish.
Being active in at least one parish program, min-
istry or organization.
