Badminton StarSixth form student at Tavistock College, Celine Conley has excelled in her sport of badminton this year by, firstly, being short listed by the ‘Exeter Foundation Devon Sports Awards’ for the ‘Young Volunteer’ category and, secondly, by successfully completing the UKCC Badminton England Level 2 Coaching Certificate.Playing out of Tavyside Badminton, which is based at the college, Celine has been supporting the badminton coaching work of the club as it works with players of all ages in Tavistock and across the wider West Devon area with OCRA and Badminton England.For Celine to achieve her Level 2 coaching certificate she had to spend the months leading up to the assessment developing her coaching and planning skills; all of which were observed over a whole day of assessment.Celine will be completing her final year in the sixth form this year and is looking forwards to going to university to study law.Mr N Read
