This was an exhibit I designed for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to teach non-members about the gospel.TRANSCRIPT
changes When we hear the transcendent truths of the
gospel of Jesus Christ, hope and faith begin
to blossom inside of us. The more we fill our
hearts and minds with the message of the risen
Christ, the greater our desire is to follow Him
and live His teachings. This, in turn, causes our
faith to grow and allows the light of Christ to
illuminate our hearts. As it does, we recognize
the imperfections in our lives, and we desire to
be cleansed of the depressing burdens of sin.
We yearn for freedom from guilt, and this
inspires us to repent.

The temple is
about families.
Through the priesthood, husbands and wives are sealed
together, children are sealed to their parents for eternity
so the family is eternal and will not be
separated at death.

The Lord does not abandon your urgent pleas, nor is He
ever, for even a moment, unmindful of your anguish and
heartache. He hears every supplication.
His silence and seeming absence at times are a powerful
means of expanding your vision and understanding as you
continue in faith to do your best.

If only we could look beyond the horizon of mortality
into what awaits us beyond this life. Is it possible to
imagine a more glorious future than the one prepared for
us by our Heavenly Father? Because of the sacrifice of
Jesus Christ, we need not fear, for we will live
forever, never to taste of death again. Because of His
infinite Atonement, we can be cleansed of sin and stand
pure and holy before the judgment bar. The Savior is the
Author of our Salvation.

The real life we’re preparing for is eternal life. Secular knowledge has eternal significance.
All we can learn in this life will rise with us in the
Resurrection. That is a destiny reserved not alone for the
brilliant, those who learn the most quickly, or those who
enter the most respected
professions. It will be
given to those who are
humbly good, who love
God, and who serve Him
with all their capacities,
however limited those capacities are.

The Bible and the Book of Mormon are both witnesses of Jesus Christ.
In the Bible we read this important declaration: ‘In the
mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be
established’ 2 Corinthians 13:1 This assures God’s
children that divine doctrines are confirmed by more than
one scriptural witness. The Bible and the Book of Mormon
are both witnesses of Jesus Christ.

The Lord puts challenges in your path to mold your
character. For your own personal growth He will
often let you struggle with a matter for a while, even
when you are pleading for help. But as you
follow true principles, He will finally see
you through.

Brothers and sisters, one of the great consolations
is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path
utterly alone, we do not have to do so.

Our education must never stop. If it
ends at the door of the classroom on graduation day,
we will fail. And we will need the help of heaven to
know which of the myriad of things we could study
we would most wisely learn. Insatiable curiosity will be
our hallmark.
Scriptural witnesses authenticate each
other. This concept Was explained long ago when a prophet
wrote that the Book of Mormon was ‘written for the intent that ye
may believe [the Bible]; and if ye believe [the Bible] ye will believe
[the Book of Mormon] also’ Mormon 7:9 Each book refers to the
other. Each book stands as evidence that God lives
and speaks to His children by revelation to His prophets.

The temple is a holy place and an important part
of the mormon religion. In the temple we are
sealed to our spouse for time and all eternity.
I soon will be able to take part of this sacred
blessing as I recently got engaged. I know that
God loves us and wants us to be with our loved
ones forever.
Prayer has always been a way of comfort and strength in
my life. I learned at a young age that Heavenly Father is
very much aware of our lives. He has comforted me
countless times when I couldn’t turn to anyone else.
I know prayer is real. I know I can trust my
Heavenly Father to help me.

Each day was filled with selflessness and I’ll not
rest ‘til I make of my hands what they could be,
‘Til these hands become like those from Galilee.”
I know that I will never come close to
what Christ has done for
me but I try each day to
be like him and to try
to make my hands
like those
from Galilee.
There is a song I love to sing. It is called
His Hands. Everytime I sing it, I am
always reminded what Jesus Christ did
for me. Christ is a great example. In the
song it says, “His hand will serve His whole life
through, showing man what hands might do,
giving, ever giving endlessly.
Receiving an education has opened many doors for me.
Knowledge has become my most valuable asset, both
in the spiritual and secular sense. I better understand
my talents and capabilities now than at any previous
point in my life. If I could urge people to do one
thing for themselves, it would be to receive
an education.

The scriptures bring us knowledge. They bring us peace.
With prayer and faith, they open up the windows of our
hearts and minds for truth to enter and dwell. These
words are true. I testify that whosoever abides by the holy
principles the scriptures give us that they shall
have happiness, as
Heavenly Father has promised us.
