VHPRC SHOW RULES Legal liability - Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the

organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of the event to which these rules apply, nor the British Riding Club, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, vehicle or their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.

The event is organised in accordance with the Health and Safety Legislation and all who have control of the premises or site at the event are responsible for ensuring that everything reasonably practicable is done to ensure the health and safety and welfare of those attending the event. Competitors/spectators should conduct themselves so that they do not put themselves or anyone else at risk.

Competitors and spectators are responsible for their own Health and Safety, in the event of an accident an ambulance will be called.

Due to new Health and Safety regulation NO horses or ponies to be tied to the side of lorries or trailers and left unattended at any time.

No horses under the age of 4 years to be ridden on the show ground

Hard hats conforming to current standards to be worn at all times when mounted and must be fastened.

All warm up must be in consideration to the other competitors and spectators.

No mucking out of horseboxes/trailers on the showground.

No refunds unless accompanied by a doctors or vets certificate.

Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.

VHPRC committee/judges decision is final.

The organisers reserve the right to cancel or alter the classes or refuse entries.

Complaints must be in writing and accompanied with a £10.00 deposit within 15 minutes of the end of the class, refundable if complaint upheld.

Please dispose of your rubbish thoughtfully or take it home with you.

Stallions/colts must be bitted adequately and under control and not exhibited by anyone under 14 years of age and display a stallion ID disc on the bridle.

No spurs to be worn in any showing class.

Cash only on the day of the show.

We reserve the right to see proof of age for the Veteran Championships and quali-fier classes.

All horses must have a passport and up-to-date vaccinations.

Handlers under the age of 14 must wear hard hats. BAD WEATHER: It is the responsibility of the competitors to check with the organiser if the weather is inclement.

This show is a qualifier for the South West Pony Association Championships to be held in September 2017 at

The David Broome Event Centre, Crick, Gwent. To qualify for the Championships: 1. Enter one of the qualifying classes. 2. Be one of the two highest placed exhibits not already qualified within the first four and receive a qualification

card signed in the ring. 3. Complete the entry form on the qualification card. 4. Return the card together with any registration fees due within 14 days of this show. Please Note: Registration fee for 2016 is £25 to include all members of the family and equines owned by the family.

The following classes are SWPA qualifiers: 2,3,5,7,8,10,14,15,16,17,18,24,25,28,29, and 33.
