Dancers •Singers •ActorsPantomime is back! We’re delighted to be able to offer open auditions for this year’s Cresset Pantomime, the magical Beauty & the Beast, produced by Stuart Morrison Productions.

We are looking for enthusiastic and talented young performers, both male and female, who love to dance and perform, and are confident moving on stage and following choreography and direction.

We’re also looking for young male and female actor / singers for our ensemble - dance training is not essential, so long as you’re confident on stage with good movement and performance ability. This is a great opportunity to be part of a professional production, and experience the magic of Pantomime from the stage!

Where appropriate, understudy roles for principal cast members may also be available, to be discussed following the open auditions.

Auditions will be held at The Cresset as follows

Additional Information:

• Under 16s must attend the auditions with parents / chaperones.

• Please wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear for the audition

• The production runs from 11 to 30 December 2021.

• Rehearsals will take place on Sundays in the autumn until the opening of the show. Exact dates and times will be advised to successful applicants.

• The production will be staging Schools Performances and all dancers will need to have a relevant licence from their local authority to enable them to be absent from school for those performances. Successful applicants will be contacted by CD Licensing who will arrange this.

• You will also need to be able to commit to the full run and rehearsal period.

• Ensemble members will be unpaid and will be expected to provide their own leotard, shoes and tights.

• Notification of exact requirements will be given at the start of rehearsals.

Data Protection

• All auditionees are required to provide The Cresset with a photo and their name, address, telephone number and email. For auditionees under 16 a parent / guardian’s contact information should be provided.

• This data will be held by The Cresset Ltd for the purposes of contacting the auditionee and their parent / guardian with information relating to the audition and performance process. For successful applicants this data will also be shared with CD Licensing for the same purpose.

• In the event of an unsuccessful audition, once the auditionee has been contacted the data will be destroyed securely.

• For those who are successful, the data will be retained until 6 months after the production has ended for the purposes of contacting the auditionee about the production and to comply with the licensing laws. It will then be destroyed securely.
