Only the careless and hard, The gay, the stubborn, the wild self-powered were worth it.

ATHLETICS

"Make that down!" "Girls we've got to beat Madison!" "Jump for that ball!" "A basket - we need two points!" "This guy can't pitch!" "Slide, Slide, Slide!" These are the sounds we made from Fall through Winter and into Spring as the seasons and sports chang-ed. During Fall the football and hockey fields were always busy from afternoon until dark and the cross country team -those fellows just never went home. When it got colder, we moved inside the gym and screamed and yelled for the Basketball players. With spring the schedule was always ful l - there was a home game or a meet or a match of Baseball, Track, Tennis or Golf. And what student can ever forget those Freshman and Sophomore gym classes twice a week - and of course the in-tramural hours and games.
