Definition of Online Learning: Teacher-led education that takes place

over the Internet, with the teacher and student separated geographically, using a web-based educational delivery system that includes software to provide a structured learning environment. It may be synchronous or asynchronous. It may be accessed from multiple settings, in or out of school.

40 states have state virtual schools or state-led initiatives, 30 states have statewide full-time online schools

Almost 2 million online K-12 students in 2009-10, 74% in high schools

Not included in above number: 250,000 K-12 students enrolled in full-time online schools in 2010-11

Peterson can offer supplemental classes via K-12, Pamoja (IB), etc.

Blended classes may be possible if no legal restrictions exist

To have our own brand, quality, etc., and MAKE MONEY, we must develop our own online program, such as ASB Online Academy or Online School for Girls
