Roy Cooper, Managing Director of Professional Security
Magazine, welcomes you to Security TWENTY 16 London
here at the Park Inn Hotel at London Heathrow. We have
planned the day so that you can enjoy some excellent
presentations from key industry people that are involved
with the changing world in which we live. Whatever your
subject of expertise, there should be something in the
presentations for you to learn and leave feeling better
informed. I would like to thank firstly exhibitors who
have made the day possible with their contributions, and a special thanks to our
sponsors Anixter, Hikvision, Hanwha Techwin Axis Communications and CSL
Dualcom. Please take the time to visit their stands as they too have new
innovations you may not have seen before. I also would especially like to thank our
key note speakers for taking the time out of their busy days to come and share their
knowledge with you, but more to the point I would like to thank you for coming
along. I hope you have a great day and look forward to welcoming you to our next
event.

SPEAKERS
Vernon Rapley - Victoria & Albert Museum
For 10 years Vernon Rapley headed the Metropolitan Police Arts & Antiques Squad in the Serious Crime Department at New Scotland Yard. His highly specialised unit developed an impressive recovery rate of up to 80% of stolen arts and antiquities averaging £3m per year; and a further £1m of recovered fakes and forgeries.
Having achieved reduction levels of 65% in relation to museum thefts it is no wonder Vernon’s next career move was to head up Security & Visitor Services as a Director at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Vernon founded the first National Museums Security Group which provides a communications link for security professionals to share images, enabling a fast and effective response to any incident. By sharing intelligence with its members it is able to identify emerging threats and adjust security responses appropriately.
Vernon regularly lectures and makes TV and radio appearances.
