❖ CALL TO WORSHIP from Revelation 7

Leader: Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!

People: Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.

❖ CROWN HIM WITH MANY CROWNSDIADEMATA, Matthew Bridges and George J. Elvey

Crown him with many crowns, the Lamb upon his throne; Hark! how the heav'nly anthem drowns all music but its own: Awake, my soul, and sing of him who died for thee, And hail him as thy matchless King through all eternity.

Crown him the Lord of love; behold his hands and side, Rich wounds, yet visible above, in beauty glorified: No angel in the sky can fully bear that sight, But downward bends his burning eye at mysteries so bright.

Crown him the Lord of peace; whose pow'r a scepter sways From pole to pole, that wars may cease, Absorbed in prayer and praise: His reign shall know no end; and round his pierced feet Fair flowers of Paradise extend their fragrance ever sweet.

Crown him the Lord of years, the Potentate of time; Creator of the rolling spheres, ineffably sublime: All hail, Redeemer, hail! For thou hast died for me: Thy praise shall never, never fail throughout eternity.

❖ PRAYER OF ADORATION

❖ AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Westminster Shorter Catechism, Questions 23 & 26

Leader: What offices does Christ execute as our Redeemer?

People: Christ, as our Redeemer, executes the offices of a prophet, of a priest, and of a king.

Leader: How does Christ execute the office of a king?

People: Christ executes the office of a king, in subduing us to himself, in ruling and defending us, and in restraining and conquering all his and our enemies.

❖ IT IS WELLHoratio Spafford, Kristene DiMarco, and Philip Bliss

Grander earth has quaked before, Moved by the sound of his voice. Seas that are shaken and stirred Can be calmed and broken for my regard.

Chorus: Through it all, through it all, my eyes are on you. Through it all, through it all, it is well. Through it all, through it all, my eyes are on you. It is well with me. (It is well.)

Far be it from me to not believe, Even when my eyes can't see. And this mountain that's in front of me Will be thrown into the midst of the sea. (Chorus)

So let go, my soul, and trust in him. The waves and wind still know his name; (3x) The waves and wind still know his name.

It is well with my soul; it is well with my soul; It is well with my soul; it is well, it is well with my soul. (Repeat)

It is well, it is well with my soul; It is well, it is well with my soul. (Chorus)

PRAYER FOR CHRIST’S CHURCH AND THE WORLD

PSALM 130 (FROM DEPTHS OF WOE)Martin Luther and Christopher Miner

From the depths of woe I raise to thee The voice of lamentation; Lord, turn a gracious ear to me And hear my supplication; If thou iniquities dost mark, Our secret sins and misdeeds dark,

O who shall stand before thee? O who shall stand before thee?

To wash away the crimson stain, Grace, grace alone availeth; Our works, alas, are all in vain; In much the best life faileth; No man can glory in thy sight, ll must alike confess thy might,

And live alone by mercy. And live alone by mercy.

Therefore my trust is in the Lord, And not in mine own merit; On him my soul shall rest, his word Upholds my fainting spirit; His promised mercy is my fort, My comfort and my sweet support;

Page 4: ONE… · Through it all, through it all, my eyes are on you. Through it all, through it all, it is well. Through it all, through it all, my eyes are on you. It is well with me. (It

I wait for it with patience. I wait for it with patience.

Though great our sins and sore our woes His grace much more aboundeth; His helping love no limit knows, Our utmost need it soundeth. Our Shepherd good and true is he, Who will at last his Israel free

From all their sin and sorrow. From all their sin and sorrow.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Leader: Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD.

People: Lord, hear my voice!

Leader: Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications!

People: If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand?

Leader: But there is forgiveness with you, so that you may be revered.

People: I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lordmore than those who watch for the morning, more than those who watch for the morning.

Leader: O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is great power to redeem. It is he who will redeem Israel from all its iniquities.

❖ WORDS OF ASSURANCE from 1 John 1

Leader: If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

People: Thanks be to God!

❖ ALL THINGS NEWAndrew Peterson, Andy Gullahorn, and Ben Shive

Come broken and weary, come battered and bruised; My Jesus makes all things new, all things new.

Come lost and abandoned, come blown by the wind; He’ll bring you back home again, home again.

Rise up, O you sleeper, awake. The light of the dawn is upon you. Rise up, O you sleeper, awake. He makes all things new, all things new.

Page 5: ONE… · Through it all, through it all, my eyes are on you. Through it all, through it all, it is well. Through it all, through it all, my eyes are on you. It is well with me. (It

Come frozen with shame, come burning with guilt; My Jesus, he loves you still, he loves you still.

Rise up, O you sleeper, awake. The light of the dawn is upon you. Rise up, O you sleeper, awake. He makes all things new, he makes all things new.

The world was good, the world is fallen, The world will be redeemed; The world was good, the world is fallen, The world will be redeemed;

So hold on to the promise; The stories are true that Jesus makes all things new.

Rise up, O you sleeper, awake. The light of the dawn is upon you. Rise up, O you sleeper, awake. He makes all things new. (Repeat)

He makes all things new, all things new, All things new; he makes all things new.
