ONCET : ON LINE CERTIFICATION FOR TEACHERS :
1 About OnCeT
Online Certification Test (OnCeT) is the certification examination mandatory for the Learning
Facilitators of all the Authorized Learning Centers (ALCs) applying for New Centers for MS-CIT
(Maharashtra State Certificate in Information Technology) course.
Exam is designed to examine the integral skills and competencies of the faculties for using
various application software tools effectively and efficiently, these integral skills are required to
be taught and practiced during MS-CIT course.
Objective of the OnCeT is to offer intellectually exciting and challenging e7erience to the
Learning Facilitator to apply their integral skills and knowledge of the software tools through a
set of integral assignments and thereby ensure their mastery on the subject matter so as to bring
about overall improvement in quality of academic delivery of the course.

The learning Facilitators applying for the OnCeT Examination are e7ected to have mastery on the

3 eContent for Practice and Training.
The Learning Facilitators would be provided with personalized Logins to access MKCL’s ERA :
eLearning evolution For All Framework to offer excellent study material in the form of interactive
multimedia eContent with rich voice over in English containing both inform and perform types of
content and rich presentation with focus on integral skills.
Practice Tests
Practice tests would be provided in the candidate’s login to have Mock Test on the examination
pattern and also to have hands on e7erience on the Test pattern.
4 Medium of Learning
The content will be provided in English language.
5 Examination & Evaluation
On the scheduled date and time of examination the Learning Facilitators would be required to visit the
exam center as allocated to them
Login details to access the examination will be given on the admit card as provided to the candidates
few days before the examination.
The candidate has to give timed examination based on the same pattern as given in the mock test
The examination will focus on multiple integral skills, the candidate has to perform the assignment,
the marks will be awarded for every correct step and marks will be deducted for every incorrect step.
The overall marks obtained at the end of the examination will be displayed.

Final Exam Details

1. Practical Questions on MS-Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
o Exam Type
1. Simulation based: -
The questions are simulated in the flash with in-build
interactivity.
User has to follow the steps required to accomplish the
task mentioned in the question.
User will get 3 attempts (3 Clicks) for every sub step (click)
to accomplish the task.
If the task, Sub Task is not accomplished in given 3
attempts then Hint will be provided and 90% Marks for
the Question will get deducted.

o Question Details
1. Question will be based on some case study for example
In Word Processing “Flyer”, “Notice”, “Meeting”, “Agenda”
is given to you in learning content format.
In same matter similar task will be asked in the question.
The Question is called as Case Study and it will have some
Sub-Questions.
User will have to click on Sub-Question to solve it.
2. Total No. of Question (Case Studies): 10
3. Total No. of Sub-Questions Per Case Study: 5
4. Total No. of Sub-Questions in Final Exam : 50

1. Maximum Marks per Sub-Question : 10
2. Maximum Marks per Question (Case Study) : 50
3. Total Marks for the Final Examination : 500 (50 * 10)
Marks Deduction
4. 90% marks will be deducted for using HINT: -9
Passing Criteria
5. Minimum Passing Marks: 300 (60%)
o Duration : 30 Min.
o Number of Attempts : 1
Note:-
o To Pass the Examination
1. Minimum Question to be solved without using HINT : 28 (28* 10=280)
2. Minimum Question to be solved using HINT : 22 (22 * 1 =22)
3. Total 50 Question and Marks = 280 +22 = 302 > 300 passing marks
o The Marks and other details mentioned above are subject to change. If changed will be
communicated prior to exam.
