Top It OffSweet-as-can-be treat topper that’s a piece of cake to make? You got it! Simply layer a star-topped cardstock circle on a ribbon bow, secure a cut-to-size paper straw to the back of the bow, and back it with another cardstock circle. Nice to Treat YouThe attention to detail doesn’t stop when you get to the treat table. Embellish glass jars with ribbon (secured with double-sided adhesive) before filling them with goodies. The coordi-nated color scheme will tie the look together, so don’t be afraid to try a combination of stripes, bows and borders.

Ribbon, ribbon, everywhere—it’s a party gal’s dream! You can fancy up any play spot, wall space or snack table with just a little bit of DIY flair and a whole lotta ribbon. We’ll show you some

fabulous, totally on-trend ways to put it to good use.

Light AwayThis two-tiered crowd-pleaser is a cinch to DIY. The details? We tied ribbons to two sizes of embroidery hoops (using the lark’s head knot), and tied the tiers together. Place it over a pre-existing fixture, or hang a bulb in the center using a pendant light kit!

Don't stop there! The lark’s head knot can be used in other fun party projects too. Keep

knotting to craft a frilly princess tutu for your birthday girl.

<< Hide and Go SweetA glittery, cascading ribbon wall makes the perfect picture spot—or the prettiest play space ever! The key here is texture: We mixed classic satin ribbons with other types of ribbon like canvas, lace, tulle, organza and more. And we tied them all to a curtain rod at the top.

All Twirl >>The lark’s head knot is a great way to secure ribbon to just about anything.Measure and cut elastic to fit your little one’s waist, allowing a few inches of wiggle room. Then make a loop and pull the ends through. Reinforce the knots with hot glue, so she can dance, leap and twirl the day away.

Ribbon Me This

These living-room pretties are heavy on the ribbon…and that’s just the way it should be! With projects like these, more is more—the more ribbon you can manage, the better. Like this easy-peasy garland? We made it by tying heaps of ribbon between the bulbs of a strand of lights.

• 7/8” ivory grosgrain ribbon• Other assorted ribbon• Liquid seam sealant• Metal wreath frame• Scissors

Supplies

1. Cut 1 yard ivory grosgrain ribbon, and apply seam sealant to edges. 2. Cut rest of ribbon as desired—we cut wider ribbons to 30” and narrower ribbons to 12”. Apply liquid seam sealant to all edges, and group according to size. Note: The amount of ribbon used will determine fullness of wreath.3. Tie ribbons from Step 2 to 7/8” ivory grosgrain ribbon to create a garland, as shown—we tied wider ribbons into bows and simply knotted narrower ribbons. Reserve approximately 30 narrow ribbons for tying completed garland to wreath form.4. When all ribbons are knotted to ivory grosgrain ribbon, use reserved ribbons to tie garland to wreath form.5. Now you’re done. Just give the ribbons a fluff, and then flaunt that cuteness for the world to see— this look is great for a wall or a door!
