Religious Education Programs 2017-2018

Parish School of Religion and First Communion Preparation Registration for students in 1st thru 11th grades will be held on Sunday, Aug. 20 from 9:30 - 11:00 AM in the Parish Center. All returning and new stu-dents must register. If your child is a new student you must have a copy of his/her baptismal certificate and certificates for any other sacraments received. Classes are held on Sun-day mornings from 8:30-9:45AM concluding with 10:00 AM Mass. The first class will be on Sunday, Sep. 10. We provide an opportunity for children with special needs and challenges to gather together in a “church” setting to learn on their own level about their Catholic faith. For more infor-mation, please contact Mickie Morris at the Parish Center, 887-7821. Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) Persons interested in joining the Catholic Church or baptized Catholics wanting to complete their initiation (with Eucharist and/or Confirmation) are invited to fill out an RCIA registra-

tion form in order to receive more information about the process. Ses-sions will be held on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM, beginning Sep. 6. If anyone knows someone who may be interested in looking into the Catholic faith, please invite him or her to fill out a form or contact the Parish Center. This program is open to everyone. All that is required is a desire to learn more about the Catholic faith and an openness to hear God's call in one's life. For more information, please contact Mickie

Morris at the Parish Center, 887-7821.

Confirmation High school juniors (11th grade) wishing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Clement in April 2018 are invited to register now through Friday, Sep. 29. You can register on Sunday, Aug. 20 from 9:30 - 11:00 AM in the Parish Center. Those students who are not in Catholic school must attend Parish School of Religion classes for 2 years prior to receiving the sacrament of Confirmation. Information on our Confirmation program, including a schedule, requirements, and registration materials are available in our church foyers, the Parish Center, and on our church website. For additional information, please contact our new Youth Minister, Mathew Ardoin, at the Parish Center, 887-7821.
