January, 2015 Vol. 15 No. 1

Although the weather outside was

frightful, 30 members and their

families attended our annual Holi-

day party at the Galloping Hill

Country Club in Union, New Jersey.

The REGENCY ROOM was beauti-

fully decorated for the occasion

and our DJ-Joe Riccio was on hand

to entertain us with his outstanding

collection of a wide variety of mu-

sic surely something for every-

one’s taste with some Christmas

favorites too.

Hors D’ouves of every description and taste were served while we enjoyed the open bar. A

beautiful table of assorted salads and cheese was a nice start to a delicious array of assorted

hot food along with a carving station of roast beef and ham.

After dinner, Director Jeff Montgomery gave a nice speech welcoming everyone and thanking

them for attending the party. He also reflected on the happenings of the year and said he

looked forward to an exciting 2015.

Secretary Bob Crimmins took the occasion to present Jeff with a plaque thanking him on

behalf of the Raritan River Regions members for his efforts as our Director for the previous

two years- a hearty round of applause followed and he thanked everyone for this kind ges-

ture.

Afterwards, coffee and desert were offered along with picture taking of the happy event. DJ

Joe Ricco offered up some great dance music and many couples were happy to get on the

dance floor and show off their dancing skills.

Sadly, about 10:45 we all said our goodbyes, wishing all a wonderful and happy Holiday

season and all the best for a fantastic 2015.

My whole life I have been fascinated with Cadillacs. In the early 60’s as a child, I would sit on my

front steps naming the Cadillacs as they drove by. Ironically, I never owned a Cadillac until re-

cently, purchasing my first one a few years ago. June and I now have the pleasure of owning two,

and their names are “ROSIE” and “GLORIA”. This trivia is about Cadillacs only. The answers are

printed elsewhere in this issue.

1) WHAT TWO 50’S ERA MUSIC GROUPS USED A CADILLAC MODEL NAME FOR THEIR

GROUP’S NAME?

2) FOR WHAT MODEL YEAR WAS THE FIRST CADILLAC V-8 AVAILABLE?

3) THE CADILLAC RANCH IN TEXAS HAS CADILLACS BURIED NOSE FIRST IN A LINE.

WHAT IS THE MODEL YEAR RANGE OF THESE CADILLACS?

4) THE SEVILLE NAME WAS ALSO USED BY ANOTHER MANUFACTURER BESIDES CADILLAC IN

THE 1950’S. WHO IS THE MANUFACTURER?

5) THE LASALLE WAS PRODUCED BY CADILLAC FOR WHAT MODEL YEARS?

6) THE HYDRAMATIC TRANSMISSION WAS FIRST USED IN WHAT MODEL YEAR CADILLAC?

7) THE CADILLAC PARK AVENUE DESIGNATED WHAT SPECIAL BODY STYLE?

8) THE BABY CADILLAC SEVILLE WAS INTRODUCED FOR THE 1976 MODEL YEAR. WHAT MODI

FIED CHASSIS WAS IT BUILT ON?

9) WHAT YEAR DID CADILLAC INTRODUCE THE FIRST ELECTRIC STARTER?

10) WHAT CADILLAC WAS USED BY THE GHOSTBUSTERS IN THE MOVIE OF THE SAME NAME?
