Who We Are

The Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) was created in 1966 by the Kentucky General Assembly to improve access to college and technical training by providing student financial aid, distributing information about college opportunities, and guaranteeing student loans. In 1978, The Student Loan People was created as the Kentucky Higher Education Student Loan Corporation (KHESLC), an independent corporation, to make, finance, service and collect college educational loans.
