£ 895 100 PGStraining.com ® On-site Training Oxy-Fuel Gas User & Practical Cutting Proposal Training Requirement Personnel operating oxy-fuel gases & equipment require training in their safe use and management to comply with current Codes of Practice & Legislation and to meet the obligations of both employees & employers in respect of the H & S at Work Act 1974 & PUWER. Training Objective & Content Comprehensive training leading to the award of an Oxy-fuel Gases Safety Passport Card demonstrating the learner has been provided with, and has understood, the safety requirements for the safe use of oxy-acetylene/propane gases and equipment. Classroom Session 3 hours Interactive training on oxy-fuel gases and equipment with topics including: Operator behaviours, gas properties & hazards, cylinder identification & data, gas equipment, emergency procedures, cylinder storage, handling & transport, PPE, Legislation & Codes of Practice. Practical Session 3.5 hour All delegates will be shown practical cutting techniques & will have the opportunity to practice. Delegates will also be given the opportunity to undertake, PPE selection and use, regulator fitting & manual handing of cylinders, correct assembly checks, before use checks, nozzle selection, purging, safe light up and flame setting, practical cutting practice and techniques, safe shut-down and equipment stowage, emergency shut-down procedures. Certification & CPD hours Successful learners will receive a documented Certificate of Achievement with 4.5 CPD hours & the credit card style PGS Gas Safety Passport. This course is also available as a Level 3 qualification. Please contact PGS if you would like to discuss our different levels of certification.
