Welcome back! It’s hard to believe that fall is just around the corner and we’re in the final months of 2020. As we head into Labor Day weekend, it seems fitting that I once again let all my staff know how proud I am of the way they have handled these difficult times. Through it all, they continue to deliver superior service, focus on the safety of our guests and their teams, and provide the best vacation experience with a smile on their faces and a hand on their heart, which is our new way of greeting and welcoming guests.

Currently, our resorts on Aruba and Sint Maarten are open, including Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort, Divi Dutch Village Beach Resort, Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort, and Divi Little Bay Beach Resort. We hope to reopen our resorts on Barbados and Bonaire later in the year. Unfortunately, many of our reopening decisions are based on each island’s government mandates and quarantine requirements.

Many of our guests have told us that they would love the opportunity for an extended “workcation” from the islands. We are happy to share that we have exactly what you need to successfully work from the Caribbean. Read more about our “workcation” stays in this issue.

DIVI FLAMINGO RECEIVES BLUE DESTINATION

CERTIFICATION

We’re proud to announce that Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino recently received a Blue Destination Certification from Mr. Elvis Tjin Asjoe, Commissioner of Bonaire. Bonaire has developed a multifaceted private partnership program that officially establishes the island as the first Blue Destination, committing to and adapting to the sustainable use of ocean

Ingredients:

12 oz. strawberry nectar

12 oz. mango nectar

12 oz. pineapple juice

2 cups orange juice

1 dash of grenadine

1 ½ oz. dark rum (1 shot)

1 ½ oz. light rum (1 shot)

1 ½ oz. coconut rum (1 shot)

1 ½ oz. mango rum (1 shot)

¾ oz. triple sec (½ shot)

Directions:

Mix the juices and nectars in a pitcher. Stir in enough grenadine to create a salmon pink color. Add two spoonfuls of maraschino cherry juice and a few cherries. Add the liquor and stir thoroughly. Taste the punch to check the strength and add more alcohol if you would like it stronger.

CELEBRATE ST. CROIX WITH MANGO RUM PUNCH

Tip: Nectar is often sold in individual cans in the international food section at your grocery store. If you don’t have mango rum, you can substitute another ½ shot of

triple sec and another ½ shot of light rum. For an authentic St. Croix taste, be sure to use Captain Morgan or Cruzan rum.

Aruba Health & Happiness Code The Aruba Tourism Authority in collaboration with stakeholders and the

Department of Public Health introduced the ‘Aruba Health & Happiness Code’ program, which ensures Aruba’s visitors that the island upholds the highest

health and safety protocols throughout a traveler’s entire stay.

The objective of this new certification program is to improve hygiene protocols across the island and ensure all local tourism-related businesses meet the requirements to earn an official ‘Aruba Health & Happiness Code’ seal. We recently obtained our Gold ‘Aruba Health & Happiness Code’ seal from the Department of Public Health to show our commitment to healthy and safe

hotel operations.

We look forward to welcoming you back for safe travels and incredible Caribbean vacations!

The restaurant has been enlarged with a new deck adorned with new chairs, tables, and umbrellas. Fresh furniture, paint, lighting, and fixtures have also
