The 100-Hour Acupuncture Certification Course continues this weekend with Session # 2. In this 16.75 hour seminar Dr. Lisa Holt presents an introduction to press needles, tacks, magnets and pellets. She presents an introduction to acupuncture for pain control, discusses acupuncture for sports injuries and acupuncture for musculoskeletal conditions. She introduces the five phase theory and provides an introduction to electron-ic graphing. Also this weekend she provides a detailed study of Stom-ach Meridian Patterns, Diet, Emotions, Climate, Qi Deficiency, Cold, Yin Deficiency, Fire, etc. she continues with a detailed study of the Spleen Meridian patterns and needling of each point. This weekend Dr. Dan Haun presents Session #7 of the Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound Certification Course. In this session Dr. Haun covers the knee. Here are the objectives for session #7: (1) review of the basic operation of ultrasound systems and scanning protocols of the hip and proximal thigh regions (2) ultrasound imaging protocols for the knee region (3) hands-on scanning of the knee region on live subjects (4) review of sonographic pathoanatomy, clinical applications of sonography, and clinical correlations related to normal musculoskeletal conditions of the hip and proximal thigh knee region. Dr. Haun begins with normal ultrasound of the knee region and then demonstrates scanning protocols of the knee region. He covers the anterior knee: quadriceps and patellar tendinopathies, knee joint effusion, and patellar tracking disorders, followed by hands-on scanning practice. He follows the scanningpractice with anatomic correlation in the anatomy lab. In Hour 9 Dr. Haun

discusses the medial knee including the medial collateral ligament, pes anserine and pes anserine bursa, and medial meniscus. He then presents the lateral knee including distal biceps femoris tendon, distal IT band, and lateral meniscus. In Hour 11 he discusses the posterior kneeincluding this semitendinosus and semimembranosus tendons, gastrocnemius tendons, popliteal (Baker’s) cyst evaluation, and tibial nerve and common fibular nerve. He wraps up session number seven with the review of imaging protocols and hands-on practice. This session is taught by Daniel W. Haun, DC, DACBR. Dr. Haun is a 2004 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic. He is a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology. Dr. Haun is an instructor in the Clinical Science Division and Chiropractic Science Division of Logan University. He is an expert in diagnostic ultrasound and brings his considerable expertise to this 12-hour presentation.

Ditson and Gatto present the Sunderlage Protocols – a course that introduces and reviews the SunderlageAcupuncture Patterns starting with Pattern 1 and ending with Pattern 5. This weekend Dr. Michael Fiscella presents a full 12-hour seminar on Ischemic Compression and Neural Fascial Chiropractic Adjustments. He begins the Saturday session with a conceptual development of soft tissue adjustment to include ischemic compression, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobility, positional release/fascial mobilization, laser and other physical modalities, as well as a discussion of cupping/acupuncture. This is a truly comprehensive presentation of assessment and treatment methods and can definitely take your practice to the next level. The seminar continues with several workshops so that you can get hands-on experience with the techniques that Dr. Fiscella

Dr. Suzanne Seekins is an acknowledged expert in chiropractic pediatrics and teaches one of our most popular courses– the 3-session chiropractic pediatric certification course. This weekend delves in more advanced techniques for the pediatric patient. This 12-hour seminar will provide didactic and intensive hands-on training in advanced chiropractic cranial techniques. Practical applications for the techniques in the clinicalenvironment will be the focus of this seminar. Such applications include but are not limited to: ADHD, dysphasia, visual and auditory processing disorders, failure to thrive, latching disorders, occlusal imbalance, dyslexia, reading comprehension, Bell’s palsy, TBI and stroke rehabilitation. She begins this class with basic cranial anatomy and a review of cranial motion. She then spends time with hands-on training in cranial rhythmic impulse (CRI). In hours four and five Dr. Seekins discusses Area Spreads and their practical use. In hour six she demonstrates cranial techniques for dysphasia, TBI, and stroke recovery. In hour seven she presents cranial techniques employed for auditory processing disorder. In hour eight she

discusses and demonstrate techniques for Bell’s palsy, trigeminal neuralgia and TMD. In hour nine Dr. Seekins discusses TBI and endocrine disruption, and provides hands-on training. In hours 10 and 11 specific cranial techniques for clinicalapplications for a number of conditions will be discussed, demonstrated and

practiced. She wraps up this information-packed seminar with specific case reviews. Suzanne Seekins, DC is a 1990 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic. She is certified in Advanced Proficiency SOT, Sacro Occipital Research Society International, and is on the Board of Directors of the Sacro Occipital Research Society International.
