DESCRIPTION
Cam-Action sash locks are easily found in hardware stores, but the "classics" of yesteryear are getting harder to find-even on the internet. Even if they are found new, their packaging may be hard to read, and instructions may have fallen out through a hole or rip in it. Simple tests and measurements on the locks can be performed at home, keeping in mind that official instructions are better due to their legal coverage. Their installation does not seem to require a building permit of any kind, however, so this writing is still better than mere trial and error.Implementation of cam locks can be more economically green than window replacement for the same reason giving valuable books to interested poor people is more intelligently green than recycling them for mere paper content.
