Margaret Willingham, Eye of the Beholder Designs
TRUNK SHOW& 2018 CHALLENGE
Many of us have shied away from handwork in our quilt top creations and often overlook applique for this very reason. But Margaret Willingham, of Eye of the Beholder Designs, has been doing a masterful job in her quilt creations, using applique both by hand and by machine. She is a quilt designer, teacher, lecturer, and has had award winning quilts in major quilt shows over the years, and she lives right here in Colorado!
Please join us for this month’s meeting when Margaret shows us her stunning quilt creations, made primarily using applique and reverse applique. Feel free to bring a friend to share this program. She will have patterns for sale.
Also, due to the extreme cold last month, we would love to see all Color and Shape projects as a group.

Sally Gould Wright www.sallywrightquilts.com
Don’t you love when you find something that affirms you and yet challenges you at the same time? Sally Gould Wright’s website was this way for me. Sally is a southern California quilter who – like me – quilts a little bit of everything: florals, pictorials, landscapes, traditional, abstract. She brings in international and political themes, but she also just makes feel good quilts. I felt affirmed looking through her galleries, that we don’t have to focus on just one thing to be taken seriously as quilters. Yet, I also felt challenged. Her work is so beautiful, and she seems to be good at so many different things. She has had multiple quilts accepted for the Houston International Quilt Festival, and she has time for charity quilts too. I think you will enjoy looking through Sally Gould Wright’s colorful galleries and seeing how she is growing through her blog.
