We are delighted to invite you and your family to this year’s OMK Day followed by the OMK Dinner on Saturday 2 May 2020. Dinner is black-tie.

The OMK Golf is on the same day; meet at Tavistock Golf Course from 11am for a 12.30 tee-off. The golf competition is in 3 ball groups and there is a separate cost of £27.50 (non members) or £10 (members).

Events at School begin with the annual OMK cricket team vs. the School’s 1st XI, in a 25 overs match. This year we are also hosting our first OMK Swim Gala for all former swim squad members (or anyone who enjoys swimming!) in a friendly competition vs. some of our current swim squad members in the 50m Legacy Pool. All ages welcome! Pupils will be on hand to give guided tours of both the College and Prep, and the 50m pool will also be open for all our visitors from 2.30pm - bring your swimming things if you fancy a dip. Swimming is suitable for families but not with very small children or toddlers.

Finally do come along to Evensong in the Chapel to sing school hymns and for a short service. Pre-dinner drinks will be followed by a delicious three-course meal at the Annual Dinner; once again, guests are welcome. We are privileged to welcome as our guest speaker this year former pupil, Paul Schick.

PAUL SCHICK (1981-83)Paul Schick, a librettist, is currently artistic and executive director of Real Time Opera (RTO), based in Oberlin, Ohio. He has written libretti for numerous new operatic works, including NOVA, a satire with music by Lewis Nielson and Iphis/Ianthe, a video jazz opera by Shea Pierre - to name just two of many. He is currently working on several projects due to premiere at the Other Minds Music Festival in San Francisco in March 2020. He has served on the directing staff of many operas including the Wiener Staatsoper and the Teatro alla Scala and has also directed for stage, television and film. Paul holds a PhD in musicology from Yale and has taught in the States as a university professor of Musicology and of German Language and Literature.
