QUOTES:

Old Mission Rotary give me an opportunity to meet

a regular basis with quality, like minded people who

believe in “service above self.” Our collective

motive is to improve our communities, nation, and

world as a whole without expectation of reward

other than satisfaction of giving. We “ plant trees”

many of whose shade we will never feel….

OMRC is important to me because it is part of Rotary

International, the greatest service organization in the

world…

QUOTES:

Service above self and giving back to the

community…

Every time I attend an Old Mission Rotary meeting, I come away in awe of the

many ways our members devote themselves to “service above self” and wish I

could be more like them! Old mission is full of people creating miracles for others

on a daily basis…

Old Mission Rotary gives me an opportunity to be part of an organization

that puts others first and to make friends with some of the finest people in

the world…

“Small club with a big heart”….

QUOTES:

Rotary is a window on my

community.. …Kevin Glynn

I am a Rotarian for the fellowship and

the opportunity to serve our community..

…. Jim Nelson

Joined Rotary to be involved in the

community and fellowship…

…. Arnie Kachok

Al Larranaga introduced me to Old Mission Rotary. I

joined for the opportunity for community service and

secondarily for the association of a fine group of

people….

….John Corrado

I went to the funeral of George Carter. We

graduated from St. Augustine in 1950 together. I

couldn’t understand all these guys telling stories

and how they “loved” George. I found out about

Old Mission Rotary. So I figured there was a

vacant chair and it was high time for me to give

back…. .. Gil Klecan

When I joined in 1984 polio plus was just

getting started, I thought and believed in

the idea to solve a global problem and felt

I could make a difference. Rotary has

made a more profound impact on as well

as the world….. …..Jim Green

QUOTES:

Rotary has been a large part of my life since

1988 when Arnie Kachok introduced me as his

new best friend and then forgot my name

momentarily. He did sponsor me however and

at that time I was banker. 1993-94 was really

special as my year as president…

In addition to making me feel young, Rotary gives me great

opportunities to serve the community and to spend time with

people I enjoy. It is also a place where I get to hear about

people and projects that restore my faith in humanity…
