Kid’s quilts raised $1530 for the

school. The quilts are on display

downstairs in the Old McAlester

High School. A former teacher

made a donation to the guild to

offset the expense of quilting.

Thanks to all who made these

quilts for the school.

2016 Quilt Show October 29, 2016

A non-judged show to promote the quilting craft to the community.

Linda Burnett, show chairperson still needs a co-chairperson.

Please consider volunteering

Janice Davis asked members to donate 3 1/2” fabric squares from your scraps for a

boutique project

Think about doing a demo at the quilt show. Contact Linda if interested.

Would you like to volunteer to make the Kid’s donation quilt, if so contact Linda.

A volunteer is needed to take charge of the donation quilt ticket sales.

Entry forms are available in this newsletter, on the website, yahoo group page, and in the

meeting room.

We will need your help to sell the tickets for the donation quilt and there are

other positions for you to volunteer

Thanks to all who have volunteered to help with the show.

Please keep the following

people in your prayers:

Mary Leffler’s husband

Shirley Johns

Betty Nevills

Joyce Calliotte

(Joan Bolesworth twin sister)

Lisa Hoffman reported that the hospital is giving out 6-10 quilts per month to mothers of newborns. The nurses said they are appreciated.

Thanks to all who have made quilts for this continuing community

project.

I have made this using romaine lettuce. Also I do not pour the dressing over all the lettuce/spinach. I measure out individual servings then combine let-tuce/spinach in bowl and use part of the dressing. Save the rest of the dressing for another salad.
