Ojiambo & Company Advocates was established on January 1, 2003. It comprises a team of Five (5) Advocates, Five (5) Legal Assistants and Four (4) members of support staff.

Aldrin was admitted to the bar in 1998 and has consistently practiced commercial law and civil litigation in superior courts and Tribunals since then.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) from The University of Nairobi and a Diploma in Law from The Kenya School of Law. He started this Firm on 16/1/2003 having worked with leading firms in Nairobi.

Colbert is a lecturer at Kenya School of Law and at Africa Nazarene University, Law School. He is a leading expert in Public Sector Audit Services, Judicial Review, Civil Litigation, Land law, Environmental law, Labour disputes, Family Law and Human Rights.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Mysore in India, a Diploma from the Kenya School of Law, a Masters of Divinity from the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (NEGST) and a Doctorate in Ministry from the Africa International University (AIU).

The Firm deals with all aspects of conveyancing including sales and transfers of land, leases, charges, chattels mortgages, extension of Government leases, change of user, conveyance, re-conveyance, discharges, caveats, cautions, licenses, trust and general advisory on all aspects of land and property.

Where the instructions involve security documentation, it is the role of the Firm to investigate title, prepare the requisite documents and obtain consents necessary to vest the interest.

The Firm has provided services to banks including Development Bank and National Bank of Kenya Limited in commercial and civil litigation, consistently defending banks in suits seeking damages or the defeat of security documents and opposing injunctions with tremendous success.

This is the latest addition to the range of corporate services offered by the Firm. It covers advisory services on compliance with laws and regulations, review of the client’s practices and processes to ensure compliance with laws and regulations relevant to the client or the sector. We prepare legal audit reports.

The Firm offers legal services in drafting and review of Employment Manuals to conform to the Labour Laws of 2007 and best practices as codified under the International Labour Organization Conventions and Standards. We represent parties at the Industrial Court.

The Firm provides legal advice on emerging environment concerns including impact assessment reports and enforcement of environmental laws.

The Firm has successfully defended claims arising under Retirement Benefits Act. The Firm has previously successfully handled high profile cases brought against National Bank of Kenya Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme.

The Firm represented the IEBC in election petitions both at High Court of Kenya and Court of Appeal. The Firm also advises interested parties in election laws and related matters.

The Firm represnts leading insurance companies in insuarnce claims and general advisory.

The Division deals with advisory services, estate planning, preparation of testamentary dispositions, taking out letters of administration, preparing trusts and custody of wills. The Firm also handles divorce, separation and maintenance matters, succession, adoption and children cases.

The Division deals with advisory services on international legal regimes on intellectual property rights and particularly on Plant Breeder’s Rights, Plant Protection, World Trade Organization Agreement Series, Texts and Annexes.

The Firm has been consulted widely on matters of Plant Breeders Rights and Plant Protection and Phytosanitary Measures including the drafting of a Bill, The Seeds & Plant Health Bill, to replace the Seeds & Plant Varieties Act Cap 326 and Rules thereunder. We drafted the Plant Protection Regulations of 2003, the Suppression of Noxious Weeds and Invasive Plant Species Regulations of 2003. The Division also undertakes registration of patents and trademarks.

The Firm has rendered legal services to Airtel Networks Kenya Ltd, Essar Telecom Kenya Ltd (YU) and Flashcom Limited in this sector.The Firm has offered legal consultancy to start-up telecommunication businesses in negotiating interconnection agreements with existing telephone service providers, acquisition of sites and compliance with regulations.
