  • Oil Flow DiagramPrimary separation on platform ( off shore).Oil come from platform separator through 12 pipeline to onshore (4bar & 42c) with length 4300m.Oil pass through heat exchanger (E1)to give output temp.( 56c).

    Mohamed Khalaf

  • Oil Flow Diagram (Cont.)Oil enter onshore separator(3bar) to separate liquid from gas.Gas from top goes to gas lift stream.Liquid pass to flow tank to perform better separation(1bar).Gas exit from the top of the flow tank to low flare.Oil exit to 3 feed pumps (only one pump works) giving (20 bar).

    Mohamed Khalaf

  • Oil Flow Diagram (Cont.)Oilywater from flow tank pass through pump (output 4bar)to W.W.T.P.Oil exit from pump pass through heat exchanger(E2)but its out of service.Oil enter the heater with (58c & 20bar) to raise its temp. to (90c &19bar).

    Mohamed Khalaf

  • Oil Flow Diagram (Cont.)There are two chemical pumps but it standby for pumps on off shore.Oil then enters desalting unit(1st & 2nd desalter). Each desalter has three transformers on its top (electrical mechanism).Fresh water pump (output 23bar) discharges fresh water to the 2nd desalter.

    Mohamed Khalaf

  • Oil Flow Diagram (Cont.)1st desalter (90c &18bar).2nd desalter (80c&17bar).Oil exit from the 2nd desalter from its top with(80c&10bar).0il then pass again to heat exchanger (E2)but its out of service.Oil pass through heat exchanger (E1)to cool oil coming from off shore.

    Mohamed Khalaf

  • Oil Flow Diagram (Cont.)Oil then pass to TRIM COOLER (input 60c & 5bar..output 40c & 5bar).Finally oil enter the storage tank (250,000 bbl)Using blow down drum to adjust the pressure in the system.

  • Gas Flow DiagramGas comes from production platform through 20 pipeline(4 bar).Gas pass through slug catcher to separate condensate from it.Condensate goes to the flow tank to increase API of oil. Then gas enter the gas scrubber(10-v-3) to separate condensate from it.

    Mohamed Khalaf

  • Gas Flow Diagram (Cont.)Gas passes through four gas compressors. Each compressor pass through loop.First (gas) enter vessel1 (v1) 3bar & 25.5c to separate condensate from it.Then gas enter first stage compression (input 2.8bar& 25c ).Gas exit with (14.3bar & 123c ).

    Mohamed Khalaf

  • Gas Flow Diagram (Cont.)Then cool through cooler (EA1)giving output 13.7 bar & 55c.Then enter V2 to separate condensate (output 13.4 bar&53.8c)Then enter the second stage compression to give output (41.4bar & 125c)Then cool through cooler (EA2)giving output 40.7 bar & 55c.

    Mohamed Khalaf

  • Gas Flow Diagram (Cont.)Then enter V3 to separate condensate (output 40.2 bar&42.8c)Gas coming from V3 go to glycol unit to remove water from gas.Blow down header is used for emergencies.

    Mohamed Khalaf

  • Gas Flow Diagram (Cont.)Then enter the third stage compression to give output (92bar & 104c).Then cool through cooler (EA3)giving output 91.6 bar & 55c.Condensate separated from each vessel, collected & go to flow tank.

  • Water Injection PlantSea water intake through pump (24c & 11bar)The sea water go to electro chlorination to remove bacteria, then pump it (3bar) to 3 filters to filter water from impurities. Two filters work & the other under back washing every 8 hrs.

    Mohamed Khalaf

  • Water Injection Plant (Cont.)Inject biocide (anti bacteria).Inject polymer electrolyte to coalescence the impurities & settle it down.Water out from the bottom of filters.Antifoam is injected to sea water line before water entrance to vacuum tower.

    Mohamed Khalaf

  • Water Injection Plant (Cont.)Water enter the vacuum tower from top.Inject Oxygen scavenger. Two vacuum pumps used for vapour suction from two stages.Use separator & water tank beside vacuum pumps.

    Mohamed Khalaf

  • Water Injection Plant (Cont.)Water exit from vacuum bottom (-0.3bar) to booster pumps (5.8bar).Inject biocide ,corrosion & scale inhibitor before booster pumps. Then booster pumps deliver water to main injection pumps (180bar). Inject water to wells in offshore (175bar) through 12 pipeline.
