■ This method makes it possible to meet the most rigorous European Union standards, e.g. < 5mg/litre fat / oil contamination in outcome water.

■ Sewage, treated with this process, can be disposed of through the public drainage system (without harmful environmental impacts and penalties) or alternatively, it can be re-circulated. Thus the cleaned industrial water regains freshwater qualities and can be re-used for food processing.

■ Both the process and the equipment was tested by the Institute of Material- and Environmental-Chemistry of the Hungarian Scientific Academy. We present some parts of their summary of this report. (Quotation from page 35):

The samples were taken from the precipitation area.On the basis of the chemical analysis it was possible to establish that using 4.6 Ampere electric current and 6.7 l / h water flow we could reach the permitted oily impurity limit under 5 mg / l, as the 28/2004. (XII. 25.) KvVM departmental order stating it. The measured and treated water originally contained 236 ppm oily pollution. (5A and 5B measuring sequences.)Summarising the results, it was verifiable that using the above-mentioned parameters the coefficient of efficiency was 98.2% .

The experiment with a larger equipment, with capacity of 250 – 500 l / h, built on the basis of the laboratory model, worked even better, showed significantly higher, 99.5% coefficient of efficiency.

The originally 495 mg/l hydrocarbon pollution dropped under 2,9 mg/l.

■ Quotation from page 37:For our tests we used as a model-solution mixture of drinking water, detergent and milk with 2.8% milk-fat content. It was possible to prove that both electrode-pair gave high coefficient of efficiency.

At the start, the COIk*–value of the polluted water was 7720 mgO / l, which in the purified water dropped to 940 – 980 mgO / l, which means 88 % - 87.5 % purifying efficiency.
