PREFACE
I
This analysis was dorms to jog the memory f the experienced masters of our occuPation.' It was prepare., itli.the idea"that the instructor use it as a guide to curriCillutn development and not as a teaching instrument. It provides task analyses
and references designed JO aid the instructor in writing a*course of study...
Cosmetologists.throughout the state were given a list of 130 tasks dpne in the salon and asked to rank them accordin6-to
how often they were performed, Due to the many and varied tasks confronting cosmetologists on an everyday basis, wecould not handle all. of this material in its prop sequience. We tried, not to emphasize one or two duties, but to c_ove'ras many of the important tasks performed most frequently in the salon. .

'The writers of this analysis do not even begin to presume that the rrialerial presented is entirely complete or even withouterror, due partly to our ever changing field.
