LAST TIME OUT The Machine were minutes away from defeating the league-best Dallas Rattlers on Sunday June 18, but ultimately fell 17-16 in Dallas. Down 4-0 in the first four minutes of the game, the Machine took advantage of man-up situations to cut the Rattlers lead to one. GROWING THE GAME The Ohio Machine and Columbus Recreation and Parks Department have announced a partnership that will make the game of lacrosse accessible to everyone in central Ohio. The Ohio Machine Foundation’s first-of-its-kind grant will allow CRPD to hire a seasonal employee to teach the game to youth in community centers throughout the city. The employee’s focus will be to plan implement free youth lacrosse camps to CRPD participants throughout the summer. Camps will be open to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis. The partnership is a result of the success of last summer’s Urban Lacrosse initiative, a collaborative effort between US Lacrosse, Greater Columbus Sports Commission,
