A honeysuckle removal demonstration projectwas offered on March 23, at the CountrysideYMCA featuring the Bull Hog mulcher, manu-factured by Fecon, Inc. “Fecon is proud to support the community and

environment by participating in projects likethis,” said Dennis Goldbach of Fecon. “It was agreat opportunity to partner with the localYMCA, and the Warren County Soil & WaterConservation District, whose Bull Hog was usedfor the demonstration.” The free seminar was hosted in Lebanon, Ohio,

by Reuben Smith of Countryside YMCA. Morethan 30 attendees were shown effective methodsfor removing non-native and invasive honeysuck-le that thrives in Ohio. Attendees also were educated on how honey-

suckle can choke out native vegetation, and havea potentially huge impact on migrating bird pop-ulations due to the reduction in availability ofnative food sources, according to the Ohio DNR.Honeysuckle can grow up to 20 ft. tall with mul-tiple 3 to 5 in. diameter stems. Goldbachexplained how the Bull Hog mulcher effectivelyremoves the honeysuckle by safely cutting it into

a carpet of mulch. Residents also were informed that Warren County SWCD

rents its Bull Hog out at a rate of $40/hr, to enable land own-ers to cost-effectively improve the environmental health oftheir properties.

launched a new Web site designed to provide motorists withreal-time travel information using state-of-the-art technologyon Ohio’s roadways.Ohgo.com was developed for multiple user platforms

including mobile phones, tablets, and desktop computers. The purpose is to provide the latest traveler information tohelp motorists get to where they are going safer, faster, andeasier than ever before. “The price we pay for sitting in traffic is significant. It’s

time away from our families and money spent on wastedfuel,” said ODOT Director Jerry Wray. “Ohgo.com willallow motorists to log on, look for traffic tie-ups and pick thebest route — saving both time and money.”Ohgo.com is interactive and will allow users to get up-to-

the-minute travel information about:• Current highway traffic speeds• Traffic accidents, slowdowns, and tie-ups• Travel times from one location to another• Road construction, closures and delays• Traffic cameras to view current travel conditions, as they

happen • Winter road conditions available from November

through April each seasonFuture updates to Ohgo.com may allow motorists to map

their daily commute and receive electronic updates whenaccidents, slowdowns or closures occur. No timeframe is setfor the launch of future updates at this time. Ohgo.com is more user-friendly and officially replaces

To help clients better manage their construction projectsfrom ideation to occupancy, Buric Global is expanding itsservices to include owner representation.Joseph M. “Joe” Kapitan, has been promoted to senior

project consultant at Buric Global and will head the newservice. In the field of construction, an owner’s representative is

exactly that — someone who works on the owner’s behalf tomanage building projects from their initial planning to occu-pancy. On any given project, an owner’s representative willoversee design, planning, bidding, contract management andconstruction execution — ensuring that processes and plansmeet anticipated budgets and schedules.

“As construction becomes more complicated, many own-ers find themselves challenged to provide the in-houseresources or knowledge needed to successfully manage andcomplete their capital projects,” said Janet H. Zollinger, chiefexecutive officer of Buric Global. “Instead of hiring internalconstruction management experts — which, in itself, may beoutside their comfort zone — owners can outsource thatresponsibility to us at Buric Global, which has a proven trackrecord of delivering projects on time and on budget.”Kapitan is a construction management executive with

more than 25 years of professional experience serving in theroles of construction manager, general contractor, architectand owner’s representative. A registered architect, Kapitan is

a member of both the American Institute of Architects andthe National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.A member of the Buric Global team since 2006, Kapitan

holds a master’s degree in management from the Universityof Arkansas and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from theUniversity of Notre Dame.Owner representation is just the latest way Buric Global

continues to deliver unprecedented transparency and collab-oration on capital projects.Representing a proactive and entirely different approach

to construction, Buric Global has been tested in a real-worldlaboratory on $1.4 billion worth of construction — anddelivered each project on time, on budget and with no claimsor litigation. With its knowledgeable experts employing cutting-edge

technologies — which include life-cycle BuildingInformation Modeling (BIM), advanced Critical PathMethod (CPM) scheduling, and 4D scheduling — BuricGlobal helps eradicate construction-related problems virtual-ly before they occur in the field, according ot the company. Buric Global includes a web-based, real-time dashboard

that allows its experts to share proprietary intelligence andanalyses along with databases, documents and other projectcontrol information. For more information, visit http://www.buricglobal.com.(This story also can be found on Construction Equipment
