Seajacks brings a unique depth of experience and resource to the provision of 5 self-propelled jack-up vessels. Our purpose-built fleet offers flexible, efficient and cost-effective support to constructors and operators of offshore facilities in harsh environments.

The steady platform provided by legs driven into the seabed allows continuous safe operation regardless of sea conditions. Being self-propelled, vessels can be repositioned as required for maximum flexibility.

EXPERIENCE IN DEPTH

Continuous Investment Our fleet of four vessels were joined by a fifth – Scylla – in 2015. Each new vessel represents a step forward in capability as we work to keep ahead of market demands and deliver projects efficiently to the highest industry standards.

Long ExperienceSeajacks was founded by CEO Blair Ainslie in 2006 and has expanded from its head-quarters at Great Yarmouth to offices in London, Dubai and Japan. The management team averages over 20 years experience in offshore industries. Many crew members have been with the Company since its foundation and staff retention remains high.

Track Record Over 310 wind turbine installations demonstrate the effectiveness of our vessels and crews in offshore installation and maintenance projects. In oil and gas production, our fleet has bought new capability and flexibility to construction, modification, mainte-nance and decommissioning of wells and platforms.

Continuous Improvement Experience from every project is analysed to learn new efficiencies. As well as improv-ing our practices, we work closely with designers and shipyards to further enhance the next generation of vessels.

Seajacks is a member of the Marubeni Corporation, one of Japan’s largest trading houses with revenues in excess of $110 billion. This financial strength ensures that we can maintain an aggressive programme of investment in our fleet.

Each vessel has been purpose built to provide safe and efficient operations in harsh environments. We have a continuous programme of investment to ensure that we are meeting the future needs of the offshore oil, gas and wind industries. Each new Seajacks vessel brings a new level of capability to ensure long operating life.

OUR FLEET

Our self-propelled vessels are designed, maintained and crewed to ensure safe operation in wider weather windows and more hostile sea conditions. With safe independent transit from DP2 capability, vessels can be positioned quickly to support a wider range of operations.

Each of our vessels is built to a GustoMSC design, using their unique depth of capability in jack-up systems. Feed-back from operations and close cooperation between crew and designers ensures our new designs and modifications drive continual improvement in operating ability.

All Seajacks vessels working in the oil & gas industry have an HSE accepted Safety Case in accordance with UK Offshore Installation (Safety Case) Regulations 2015.

HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

Seajacks work tirelessly to ensure everyone at Seajacks is aware of their responsibilities to work safely and with concern for the environment. We meet the most rigorous standards of our industry and our clients. HSEQ issues are viewed as a critical business activity and a management priority.

Safety is a company-wide responsibility. A continuous agenda of training and professional development ensures that everyone is resourced and motivated to work safely every day. Our fully implemented HazObs system records observations and suggestions for improvement from crew and visitors on our vessels and in our offices. Full safety records are kept for all operations.

Our high crew retention rate supports this strong health and safety culture at all levels of employment. Seajacks has also developed the ability to take responsibility for a wide range of operations and to support and train new staff.

Long-term relationships with contractors and clients in all sectors are based on the performance, reliability and cost effectiveness delivered by our commitment to quality.

SEAJACKS PEOPLEOur investment in people mirrors our investment in vessels. A ‘can do’ attitude in a culture committed to safety ensures the performance that makes Seajacks a sought after partner in offshore operations.

Retaining The BestEach Seajacks vessel is crewed by experienced and motivated people, many of whom have been with Seajacks since its inception. Our highly competent personnel have vast experience in operating jack-ups, rig moving, oil and gas operations and wind farm installation.

Our ability to retain the best staff is based on training, career development, attention to continual health and safety and excellent working conditions – on and offshore.

Career Development Our steady growth continually provides new career opportunities. As well as recruiting personnel with extensive track records, we train and develop those who are starting their careers, many of whom are local to our Great Yarmouth headquarters.

As well as offshore posts, there are opportunities at Seajacks House to work in a range of departments from Engineering to Human Resources.

SEAJACKS OFFSHORE WINDSeajacks have brought substantial offshore capability to the development of wind energy from the southern North Sea. While all our vessels have supported wind projects, the newest have been specifically designed and built for turbine installation and maintenance. Scylla, delivered in November 2015, is the world’s most advanced offshore wind installation vessel.

Learning from a substantial number of projects, we have built the skills and resource essential to delivering a safe, responsive and cost-effective service.

With in-house engineering teams we can manage planned and unplanned construction situations throughout a project. We carry out the design, engineering and installation of sea fastenings, cantilever structures, gangways, interfaces and the production of lift plans. Our dedicated Installation Services Team manages and oversees specialised lifting operations.

Meerwind Offshore Wind Farm Seajacks Leviathan and Seajacks Zaratan worked in tandem on the complete installation of 80 WTG components. Seajacks project managed the campaign from the scour installation and engineering to the turbine installation.

Veja MateSeajacks Scylla and Seajacks Zaratan worked in tandem to transport and install 67 XXL monopiles and the accompanying transition pieces. The monopiles are the biggest ever installed by a jack up reaching 85m in length and exceeding 1,300 tonnes in weight. Seajacks Scylla then went on to install 6MW turbines.

SEAJACKS JAPANSeajacks have gained invaluable experience of the offshore wind market across Europe over the past decade. This period has seen our vessels install over 310 complete wind turbine generators and perform over 2,000 rig moves. Seajacks will bring this extensive knowledge to the region which will support Japan in growing their offshore wind portfolio.

Japan is targeting 75GW of total installed wind capacity by 2050, of which 19GW of this is fixed offshore wind. Seajacks are well positioned to assist Japan in achieving their target and are capable of providing services at a number of planned sites, the map below shows just a few of these.

Seajacks vessels are designed and constructed to be able to work in water depths of up to 60m, providing a fixed platform for lifting heavy foundations and wind turbine components.
