Objectives This course is designed to provide an introduction into the Offshore Industry. The aim is to take the participant on a journey from surveying an area for potential hydrocarbons, right through to the production and supply of oil and gas. Along this journey we will talk about the operations being carried out, the wide and varied vessel types, the roles and responsibilities of the main personnel involved in these operations, and the terminology used by people working in this sector. The course will also provide an insight into key guidelines and documentation affecting offshore operations. However the main purpose is to answer as many questions and queries the participants have, so that they have a good basic understanding of how this demanding industry works together. Participants The course is aimed at office staff employed in areas where their day to day role would not normally be directly involved in the offshore world. It is also pertinent to new starts and personnel interested in learning more about how the offshore industry works. Content Vessel types and personnel roles. Vessel capabilities and redundancy. Standards and operational guidelines. Incidents and dangers. Career Opportunities/Pathways There are no specific career opportunities or pathways associated with this course. Assessment & Competency Achievement There is no formal assessment carried out at the completion of the course. 100% attendance and participation in the course is required. Participants will be awarded a Certificate of Training on completion of the course. Course Duration 1 Day: 9:00am to 4:30pm Number of Participants Maximum 12 participants

Course Fee and Additional Service Costs $1650.00 ($1500.00 + GST) per course This course fee includes lunch, and morning and afternoon tea at the center.
