Do not attempt to do this without consulting the IT department. Once this is done go to Step 2a.)

Step 2: Autoplay The Offline CD should start to play automatically within 10 to 15 seconds. Go to Step 3. (If CD fails to start automatically go to Step 2a. Some CD players have autoplay disabled.) Step 2a: (Only necessary where CD does not start automatically, or the installation is being

Step 4: The User Name and Organisation Screen Complete the User Name and Organisation fields. (This is not a critical step, however these fields cannot be left blank. Usually these are pre populated from the user name and organization on the machine. That’s fine, any names will do! If all else fails put a ‘.’ in each of the fields.). Leave the ‘Anyone who uses this computer (all users)’ radio button checked. If there isn’t one, don’t worry!! Click Next…

Step 5. The Front-end Application Installation Directory If you are installing to the default installation directory just Click Next. Go to Step 6. (If you want to change the directory go to Step 5a. Under normal circumstances the default directory should always be used.)

Step 6: The Database Directory If you are installing to the default database directory Click Next. Go to Step 7. (If you want to change the directory go to Step 6a. This situation is common when the databases are set-up on a server. This step is still necessary when the databases have previously been set-up by a prior installation, and the current install is only for the front-end application. The process of setting up the database directory tells the front-end application where the databases can be found!)

Step 6a: Choosing a Database Directory other than the default If you want to change the directory Click Change. Either select a pre-existing directory, eg

where the databases have been installed from a previous installation, or create one. Then Click OK…
