i) To -take an' integrated view of the factors having~ a bearing on land use pattern and productivity, and to go into the following aspects of 'development: - .
Continuous monitoring of the land reSources utility-" by appropriate land use and soil capability. Overall reView Of the progress of unplementatlon-_ of schemes' and programmes connected with conservation' and land development arid also assignment - of priority in the following aspects_:-
_ . (a) Problem 'of diversion of good agricultural lands for- non-agrtcultural purpOses.
(b) 'Urban and rural settlement planning.
ii) Identification of degraded lands (wastes) and pre~, paration of concrete programme for their. suitable res~ tOO'ation.
iii)· Coordination of works in the :field of land use development carried out by any agency in - the' _ admi-· nistration,. .
iv) Improvement of land_ use data and lang use maps by using the input of modern technology, such' as remote
'sensing/aerial photography, digital analysis, etc, This will facilitate building up the land use data bank for'effective monitoring of all land~related activities.
v) Measures for greater people's participation to' the programme of optimal land' use.
,vi) Periodfcal review of the- progress of implementa~ - tion of _ the Regional Plan proposals~
vii) Any, other matters which may be found necessary,to the above -Committee.

If the acquisition' is aban40ned wholly or in' part, the fact will also be notified

Whereas it appears to the-' Appropriate Government (hereinafter referred to as' "the Government") that the land specified in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as the Hsaid land") is-likely to be needed for public purpose viz. Land Acquisition for widening of road from: Pillar to Old Goa.
Now" Therefore, the Government hereby notifies, under. sub-section (1) of section 4 of the ~nd Acquisition Act, 1894 (Central Act 1 of 1894) (hereinafter referred to as the "said' Act") that the said land is likely to be needed for the purpose specified above.
2. All persons Interested in the said land are hereby warned not to obstruct or interfere with any surveyor or other persons employed upon the -said land for the ,purpose of the said acquisition. Whereas by Government Notification No. 22/179/86-RD ·dated 18-5-1987 published oD, page 149 of series n, No. 13 ·of" the Official Gazette, dated 25-6~1987 and in two newspapers (1) Gomantak dated 22-1>-1987 (2) Navhind Times ·dated 23,,£-1987 it was notified under section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (Central Act 1 ,of 1894) (hereiriafter referred' to as "the said Act'~) that the land, specified in the Schedule appended to the said Notification was likely to be needed for the public purpose viz. Land Acquisition fOT _ construction of linking road to Accaro Island (Add1. area) •
And whereas, the appropriate Government (hereinafter referred' to as "the' Government"), after considering the report made under sub-Section (2) of section· 5A of the ,said Act is satisfied that, the land specified in tIle Schedule hereto is needed for the public purpose specified above (hereinafter refelTed to ·'the said land").
Now, therefore, the Government hereby ~declares, ~der sectlon 6 of the said- Act that the said land is required' for the public purpose specified above.
2. The Government also appoints, uilder clause (C) of _Section 3 of the said Act, the Sub-Divisional Officer, Mapusa to p'ert'orm the functions-' of a COllector, North Goa District, Panaji for all pl'OCeedings hereinafter to be taken' in respect of the' said land, and directs him under section 7 ,of the ,said Act to take oider for the acqquisition of the said land.

V. ,Bhat. Revenue Secretary, -Government of Goa as meiribers of' the Administrative- Tribunal- of Goa. Dam:ail _and Diu."
Alid' whereas Vide Government Order No, 3/13/85-PER (Vol. IV) dated 7-9-1987 Shri V.V. Bhat, the then Revenue Secretary, Government 'Of Goa has' been transferred to join his - new assignment undex: the_ Central Governinent.
'And whereas Shri' M.' M.- Lal has been 'appointed as R-everiue -Secretary to the-·GOveirunent of Goa vide GoveI'l1llient·Order No. 7-24-86/GA&C dated -8th September, 1987;
Now therefore, in exercise 'of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Goa, Danian .and Diu Administrative Tribunal Act, 1965 (Act 6 of 1965) read with rule 2 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Administrative Tribunal Rules, 1966. the
,Government'of'-Goa is, hereby_pleased to appoint Shri M. M. La], Revenue Secretary as a member of the Administrative Tribunal of Goa, Daman and Diu vice Shti V. V~- Bhat, the then Revenue Secretary, Government of Goa with immediate effect.
