neighborhood watch Program

Property loss and damage due to theft are increasingly becoming the norm in our community. Vagrants are walking the neighborhood particularly in the aftermath of the recent hail storm. Homes and cars are burglarized at will threaten the security of the neighborhood. Reports of predators approaching children on their way home from school should have everyone asking, “How long before our blue-ribbon elementary school is put at risk?” It’s time to reclaim the streets to keep our community a desirable place to live. If you are ready to fight back then please join with concerned residents to organize a neighborhood watch program. What does Neighborhood Watch mean to you and your family?

Get involved and become the eyes and ears of the neighborhood.Work closely with your neighbors.Learn how to recognize and report suspicious activity.Make the neighborhood safe and improve the quality of life.

Does Neighborhood Watch work? Yes, just ask the Austin Police Department. At a recent safety meeting at Caraway Elementary School, APD Officers endorsed the program as a significant deterrent to fighting crime. Neighborhood watch groups deny criminals the opportunity to operate undetected. If you are fed up and want to make a difference then attend the Neighborhood Watch Group Meeting. It is open to all residents, so bring your family and invite a friend. location: Spicewood Springs Librarydate: Wednesday, May 6time: 7:00 PMspeaker: Officer Tanya Normand (APD). This is the final meeting to have an official neighborhood watch program in the community.
