Follow @AMUCXV & @ausmixednats

Proudly brought to you by

We would like to thank

Welcome from AFDA President and Tournament Director

Congratulations on qualifying for the 15th Australian Mixed Ultimate Championships.

It is exciting to have 450 players from around Australia and New Zealand coming to Canberra to not

only compete to be crowned the best mixed team, but to also help Canberra celebrate its Centenary

by playing some awesome Ultimate.

The Tournament Organising Committee has been working very hard all year to put this event

together and I need to thank them for all of their time and effort.

A massive thanks to my wife, Heather, who has not only put up with me working to put this

together, but has also come on board with a lot of great ideas and took on all of the catering for the

event. Hayley Burke has planned a great social event for everyone on Saturday night, Thomas

Walcott has done a great job getting the merchandise together, Vickie Saye’s marketing ideas have

been gold, Christina Schwarz’s player packs are brilliant, Erik Jan Lindeboom’s creativity will be

keeping us hydrated, the wisdom of Warwick Shepherd has been priceless and Anthony’s arithmetic

has been invaluable.

Please note that according to the laws in the ACT, no glass can be brought onto the playing fields at

anytime, no-one is allowed to smoke on the playing fields while there is competition on and no dogs

are allowed on the fields either.

If you want to tweet throughout the tournament, please use the hashtag - #AMUCXV

There will also be a secondary twitter account @AMUCXV where information, scores, happenings

and pictures will be going out regularly.

We have also set up an account on the app Eversnap (it can be downloaded from the Apple app

store). If you put in the album AMUCXV and the albumcode q421lvhla you will be able to upload

photos to the app over the weekend that others can see as well. We do ask that this be used

appropriately and if it can’t be, it will be shutdown.

I hope everyone enjoys their time in Canberra and I wish everyone all the best over the next three

days. Play hard, play fair and play with spirit.
