Yellow Cars Welcomes Official Opening of New £1 Million N.H.S. Backed Urgent Care

Centre in Walsall in January 2016

The opening later this month of a brand new one million pound National Health Service urgent care centre to serve the community of Walsall and beyond has been broadly welcomed by the local Yellow Cars taxi providers.

Darren Thorpe, Yellow Cars Managing Director said, “the local community deserves this boost and the investment in a modern medical facility. At last the Walsall urgent care centre has a new permanent home the people of the area can be proud of. We’re fortunate that Walsall will also continue to enjoy the option of the other urgent care centre at Walsall Manor Hospital. It’ll be an honour to serve our customers and clients of the heath facilities old and new.”

It’s been reported in the local media that Wednesday January 20th 2016 has been earmarked as the date for the new facility to have its opening at the Saddler’s Centre. In addition, we learned from the N.H.S. that Primecare has been awarded a contract for the facility.

Mr. Thorpe added that, “we like to keep our ear very close to the ground when it comes to serving our passengers and many of them are looking forward to pressure being eased in local accident and emergency departments as the positive impact and benefits of the new urgent care centre should become apparent very quickly with the 12 hour service from 8am to 8pm. As no appointment is necessary we look forward to getting passengers to the facility as safely as possible.”

Finally, the Yellow Cars Managing Direction said, “everybody here would like to take this opportunity to wish Dr. Anand Rischie G.P. and local N.H.S. urgent care lead and all the team our very best wishes for the new project and good health for all patients. We’ve a huge focus on community here in our local taxi business in the West Midlands and this announcement is to be welcomed.”
