Over the last 40 years, the HP Byron Nelson Championship has raised more than $107 million to help children and families in our area. We couldn’t have done it without your generous support. Net proceeds from our Championship support the work of Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers, a nonprofit organization with a three-part mission: • THERAPY with troubled kids and families • EDUCATION with at-risk kids and families • SHARING what we learn Funds raised at the HP Byron Nelson Championship enable SCYFC to serve more than 7,000 children and family members each year and ensure that families are never turned away from these vital services because of inability to pay. Your participation in the Championship enables SCYFC to find innovative ways to help transform children’s futures and create new possibilities for success.

Don’t miss the most anticipated social event of the Spring. Dramatic finishes, PGA TOUR legends, family fun, exclusive golf events, mixing business with pleasure and unparalleled entertainment — all of this is yours at the HP Byron Nelson Championship.

Two awards programs have been created to honor the legacy of tournament namesake Byron Nelson.

Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Awards The Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Awards recognize the achievements of junior golfers around the world who distinguish themselves with a high level of junior tournament play as well as excellence in academics, exceptional character and a commitment to community service. The award recipients participate in Champion-ship week activities.

Byron Nelson Prize sponsored by T. Boone Pickens The Byron Nelson Prize is awarded each year to a person or organization in the golf world who exemplifies the ideals of sportsmanship, integrity and philanthropy that Byron Nelson personified. A $100,000 contribution is made to the recipient’s favorite charity. The Byron Nelson Prize was awarded to Tom Lehman in 2007 and to Ken Venturi in 2008. The 2009 recipient will be announced at the Opening Ceremony of the HP Byron Nelson Championship.
