Bradenton's Cal Mitchell doubled and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Fort Myers's Lewin Diaz in the 1st. Bra- denton's Travis Swaggerty homered off Tampa RHP Braden Bristo (1.0IP, 1H, 1ER, 0BB, 1K, HR) in the 2nd. A pair of Tampa players had two of the three hits collected by the North, with 1B Dermis Garcia (1-for-4) snapping a no-hitter with a one-out single in the 7th, and RF Isiah Gilliam (1-for-4) lining a one-out single in the 9th. DERMIS DOMINATES DERBY: On Saturday, Dermis Garcia won the Florida State League All-Star Home Run Derby. STANTON SMASH: New York Yankees OF/DH Giancarlo Stanton (2-for-3, 2HR, 3RBI, 2R) crushed a pair of home runs while playing seven innings in right field in his second game of his rebooted rehab assignment on Wednesday. The 29-year-old had four home runs in three games with the Tarpons this season. Stanton was placed on the 10-day injured list on April 1 with a left biceps strain. After playing three more rehab games with Triple-A Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre, Stanton is expected to be activated by the Yankees tonight. GILLY GILLY!: Not to be outdone by the 2017 National League MVP, OF Isiah Gilliam (2-for-4, 2HR, 3RBI, 2R) matched Giancarlo Stanton with a multi-HR game of his own, smashing his sixth and seventh dingers of the season. It was Gilliam's second-career multi-HR game, and his first since August 14, 2016 with Rookie-level Pulaski (2-for-2, 2HR, 2BB, 2RBI, 2R). CABRERA STAYS HOT: After going 5-for-8 in the doubleheader on Tuesday, Oswaldo Cabrera (2-for-3, BB, R, 2SB) logged his third-straight multi-hit game on Wednesday and is batting .406 (13-for-32) over his last nine games. Since 5/28, the 20-year-old is batting .364 (20-for-55). DERMIS DELIVERS: Dermis Garcia ranks first in the Florida State League in HR (14) and RBI (45), is tied for first in XBH (26), ranks second in SLG (.514) and fourth Total Bases (107).
