    BANNER PROGRAMS RICE

    a) Technology Demonstration on Hybrid Rice Production - Five hectares of rice or more that will showcase the technology on Hybrid Rice Production.

    b) Location Specific Technology Demonstration (IRTD) - (Palay check & Palayamanan) intends to accelerate the adaption & integration of new technologies into local farming system.

    c) Site- Specific Nutrient Management

    d) Rehabilitation of Communal Irrigation Systems.

    e) Small Water Impounding Project

    f) Small Farm Reservoir

    g) Shallow Tube Well

    h) Spring Development

    i) Multi Purpose Drying Pavement

    j) Rice Milling Facilities

    k) Primary Farm Machineries

    l) Training and other Support Activities

    m) Trichoderma Production CORN

    a) Provision of Quality Corn Seeds – Hybrid (White & Yellow)/ OPV White Certified Seeds Subsidy by the PLGU-OPA and OPV White (Registered/Certified) Seed Subsidy by the DARFU-7.

    b) Farm Mechanization (Production& Post Harvest) Support – Provision of Farm Machineries/PHF by DA on a 50:50 scheme with LGUs/POs. The 85:15 cost sharing is requested by PLGU Chief Executive to the DA Secretary for Siquijor province espe cially on the availment of 4WD 70-90 HP Tractor in support to the Agri-Pinoy Corn Program.

    C) Operation & Maintenance of BIO-N Plant in L azi – Regular production of BIO-N is intensified by the PLGU in support of the Organic Agriculture Program for the Corn farmers of Siquijor.

    d) Farmers Education Program like Farmers Field School & Farmers Scientist Training Programs –these include trainings programs for farmers & agricultural extension workers/technicians on innovative technologies on corn production.

    e) R & D/E Support Services – Conduct of On-Farm Trials/ Techno Demo on Adaptability of New Corn Varieties that would fit under Siquijor Condition & improvement of the Corn- based Cropping System

    f) Distribution of IEC Materials by the National & Regional DA Offices

    a ) Planting Materials & Quality Seeds – these include the distribution of quality seeds and planting materials.
