Work: TENDER FOR CIVIL AND ELECTRICAL WORK ON 2ND FLOOR HEADOFFICE AT 2.N.S ROAD, KOLKATA-01

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:-

1) The Agency is advised to inspect and examine the sites and satisfy himself as to thecondition prevailing at sites and its surrounding extent of work, scope and conditions underwhich the work is to be executed. The contractor shall also satisfy himself about theaccessibility to the premises.

2) The agency shall submit the offer which satisfies each and every condition laid down in thisnotice, failing which the tender will be liable to be rejected.

3) Conditional bids shall not be considered and will be out rightly rejected in the very firstinstance.

4) No overwriting or cutting is permitted in the financial bid form. In such cases, the tender shallbe summarily rejected.

5) The work shall be carried out in such a way that, there is least disturbance to the staff ofBank work in Head Office.

6) The rate quoted in the tenders shall be inclusive of all materials as required.

7) The rate quoted in the tender shall be inclusive of all charges of scaffoldings, lifting, tools andplants, freights, labour conditions and fluctuations in rates of excise duty, octroi, service taxand any other taxes or expenditure of carrying out the works.

8) Work will be completed within the period of 30 days from the date of issue of tender or workorder whichever is earlier. If the work be not completed to the satisfaction of employer withinthe stipulated period, the contractor will be bound to pay to the Employer a sum equivalent to1% of the accepted tendered value per week subject to ceiling of 10% of the acceptedcontract amount by way of liquidated damages and not as penalty during which the workremains uncommenced or unfinished after expiry of the completion date.

9) Contractors are required to organize the work in such a way that workings of staff, facultyand officers/executives of Head Office are not affected. Contractor is required to takeadequate care during progress of work to protect belongings. In case any damage,contractors at their own cost shall make the same good.

10) Contractors are required to submit time schedule of work. After completion of work, cleaningof floors, wal ls etc are to be done to the satisfaction of engineer-in-charge.

11) No advance will be paid. Payment will be released on satisfactory completion of job andsubmission of bills. Retention Money @10% will be deducted from the bill and to be releasedafter six months from the date of virtual completion provided no defects is observed duringthe period.

12) All erasures and alterations to be made while filing the tender must be attested by initials ofcontractor.

13) The bank reserves the right to reject any or all the tender, accept part of any tender, entrustthe entire work to any contractor or divide the work to more than one contractor (itemwise)without assigning any reason or giving any explanation. The rates quoted by thecontractors will help well for bifurcation and no compensation will be paid on this account.

14) The contractor should quote in figures as well as in word the rate and amount tendered bythem. The amount of items should be worked out and the requisite total is to be given.

15) After completion of jobs, the site shall be cleared of all rubbish in all respect. All holes shallbe filled up and finished as per existing finishes.

16) The brief description of items of work to be carried out for civil work is given in Annexure-Iand for electrical work is given in Annexure-II.

17) Contractor will arrange necessary tools and plants for completing own work at their cost. Incase of any accident the total responsibility will be on the contractor.

18) All the defects caused in the work order period and for next twelve months from the date ofcompletion of job shall be got rectified by the contractor at his own cost and nothing extrashall be payable on this account.

19) If an extension of time of completion of the work is sought on the grounds of havingunavoidable hindrances in its execution or any other ground, the contractor shall apply inwriting to the officer – in - charge of the Estate Management department with full details ofthe circumstances which is causing such an extension. All the decisions in this regard takenby the Bank shall be binding to the contractor.

20) Any extra work or item can only be started by contractor once they get approval from theEstate Management Department. Any item if put or work done will not be paid until & unlessthey got prior approval from the Estate Management Department.

21) The Contractor should have GST Identification number and Annexure-III form to becompletely filled.

4. Providing and fixing 6 mm thick Bison board false ceiling at all level. Rate shall beinclusive of all components containing G.I. perimeter channels of size .55mm thick havingone flange of 20mm and another flange of 30mm and a web of 27mm along with perimeterof ceiling, screw fixed to brick wall/partition with the help of nylon sleeves and screw, at610mm centers. The suspending G.I intermediate channels of size 45mm,0.9mm thickwith two flanges of 15mm each from the soffit at 1220mm centers with ceiling angle ofwidth 25mm x 10mm x 0.55mm thick fixed to soffit with G.I. cleat and steel expansionfasteners at every 610mm c/c. Ceiling sections of 0.55mm thickness having knurled webof 51.5mm and two flanges of 26mm each with lips of 10.5mm are then fixed tointermediate channel with the help of connecting clip in the direction perpendicular to theintermediate channel at 457mm centers. The boards are to be jointed and finished withjoining compound & joint paper tape.
