“NOBODY IN RECENT DECADES HAS DONE MORE

TO MAKE (AND TRANSFORM) DANCE HISTORY.”

American Ballet Theatre’s Spring 2019 season offers a celebration of Alexei Ratmansky’s unprecedented ten-year tenure as ABT Artist in Residence with performances of Harlequinade, Songs of Bukovina, On the Dnieper, Whipped Cream, The Sleeping Beauty and a new World Premiere. Ratmansky’s diverse repertoire of work has been lauded as “exemplifying classical style” (Alastair Macaulay, The New York Times) and “abounding in invention” (Apollinaire Scherr, The Financial Times).
