The Event: OER Finance & HR Summit 2018 Over the last three years OER’s Finance & HR Summit has emerged as the most coveted platform for CEOs, CFOs, HR Directors and other senior executives and this year’s edition promises to build upon that experience and legacy with incisive discussions, case studies, presentations and peer-to-peer interaction.

Finance Focus The tell-tale signs of a robust economic recovery are apparent in Oman - increase in oil prices from $55 per barrel in the early half of 2017 to around $65-$70 per barrel now. Oman’s budget has underscored the government’s intent to kick start development spending. Total projected spending in 2018 will amount to OMR 12.5 billion, an increase of 6.8% against 2017, while GDP is budgeted to grow at 3%. Non-oil revenues in the January-September 2017 period grew by over 31 per cent to OMR2.3 billion. Given the strong economic undercurrents businesses need to plan and invest to maximise shareholder returns.

The 2018 edition of OER Finance Summit will challenge, discuss and confront the issues facing the CEOs/CFOs today, focusing on the following themes:
