Am I reading the description correctly: it is NOT recommended for TIG welding ?

- I don’t know about that, I have used it for tig and fcaw which is dual shield, noproblems, I know it is not warranted by the manufacturer for overhead welding but Iuse mine for it anyways. two other students in my shop are using the same helmetfor tig. we like our helmets even though we dream of four or five hundred dollarones but as far as I know and have seen overhead is not recommended and tig is aprocess this helmet does in fact work well with from experience.
