2Why all the fireworks? Thanks to our incredible retailers and players, FY '16 was a firecracker of a year for the Wisconsin Lottery.

We set a new sales record, outselling the top years in ALL products (Instant, Daily, and Jackpot games). Watch the August Connection forfinalnumbers.

Powerball rolled, and rolled, and rolled. The record-breaking jackpot brought more players into your stores. During that run, 30 winning tickets of $50,000 were sold, each earning the selling retailer $1,000 in RPP incentives.

Conversion kicked off, setting in motion the process for updating all retailer equipment. This equipment has been featured in the Connection over the past few months. Watch the August Connection for details on the upgrade timeline (September-December).

14 Lucky players became millionaires by claiming winning tickets from Instant and Lotto games. Check out all our winners at www.wilottery.com/winners.

The $20 oversized ticket took off like a rocket and has become a "must have" for almost 90% of our retailers.

Charlie's Liquor & Tobacco Mart6143 S. Packard Ave.

Cudahy, WI

On the shore of Lake Michigan, with family friendly neighborhoods, great schools, and more than 800 acres of park-land, Cudahy is the location of our July retailer of the month.

After being in business for 12 years, Kahlil "Charlie" Audi took the big step of breaking away from a landlord owned property and built his own building for Charlie's Liquor & Tobacco Mart. It was a hectic and exciting time for Charlie, and with the help of his family, the new store opened in December 2015. Charlie's offers an extensive in-stock selec-tionofliquor,beer,wineandtobacco.Ifyoucan'tfindthatrarewineorspecialtyproduct,theywillorderitforyou!In addition to Lottery products, Charlie's offers many services including delivery, bill payment, ATM, moneygram & money orders, copy & fax, postage stamps and a loyalty card.

Charlie's features Lottery prominently on the front counter with room to display up to 38 facings of scratch tickets. Charlie himself is a great promoter of Lottery. According to Charlie: "We actively create a very exciting atmosphere for players so they will want to come back here to play Lottery again. We always kid around with players and let them know of new games and the drawing of the day." He calls out "BIG WINNER" loudly whenever a winning ticket is cashed in his store. He also promotes a combination of lotto tickets he calls "Charlie's Lucky 10." This is $10 of combined Powerball, Mega Millions, Mega Bucks, SuperCash, Badger 5, Five Card Cash, Pick 3 and Pick 4 tickets. Charlie's has many regular players - Pick 3 and Pick 4 are the favorite lotto games, and $2 Crossword and the $20 big tickets are the favorite scratch games.

Charlie and his family take great pride in their store.
